We spent two nights at El Ombu and wish it could have been more. The accommodations in the main house are charming and most comfortable. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and invite you to unwind and enjoy your time in the countryside. Our hosts, Pablo and Diego, went out of their way to insure our every need was met. Meals... We spent 4 nights here. It is a real working ranch--- not a 5 star hotel on a ranch or a 5 star want to be but a real true Argentinian Estancia Experience. The ranch has been in the family for at least 4 generations. You can see the original platting maps from the 20's on the wall with the... More

You feel as though you are a guest on a family ranch while staying here. We were greeted by one of the owners to make sure we had everything we needed. The scenery and authentic gauchos are impressive. We did not partake in it in any of the activities as we did not have much time, just enjoyed some wine... More

We chose this Estancia over the others available based on the recommendation of a friend. This is a working ranch that is very authentic. The gauchos are bona fide and real, and not just a "prop" for the tourists that visit. Upon arrival you are greeted with homemade empanadas and wine. You then have the choice of going horseback riding... More

We booked the tour from our hotel as the receptionist reccommended it. It was such a great day. Amazing Tour guide Pablo was with us entire day and provided very useful information about Argetina. Thank you Pablo for making our day so special. The tours took us to this beautiful ranch where we did horse riding. Later there was a... More

This was truly one of the highlights of my trip, with my only regret being I only stayed for 1 night. Having spent weeks in Buenos Aires, I feel like upon arrival at Estancia El Ombu I relaxed for the first time in weeks - the open spaces, the quiet, the peacefulness, the animals, the amazing staff, and more. It... More

I went in July and this place was amazing! If your love horses, this is the place to go in Argentina. They first took us to the old town of San Antonio de Acero where we saw old saloons and learned about the history. To get to the Estancia you had to go basically mudding and was so much fun!... This is the second ranch experience I've had and this one was so much better. It's a little farther out than other ranches, but unlike them, this one is a working ranch and caters to fewer people. (There were eight in my group). We dropped into the town of San Antonio de Areco en route and once at the ranch,... More
