This is a nice, friendly place that covered my needs. Nice room, very good bed and shelves for all my stuff. WiFi is like always at these remote places, slow. But it work pretty fast early on the morning before hiking, probably because most of the other guests were still sleeping. Breakfast is probably typical Argentinian, not my type, but...

. . . because there were some drastic highs and lows here. First, the good. The place was immaculately clean. You saw the ladies scrubbing floors and making sure everything was just so throughout the day. The bed was also very comfortable which was a bonus after a long trek. Most of the staff were incredibly friendly and patient with...

Hosteria el Paraiso - was better than we expected. The whole property was very clean and the staff very helpful and friendly. It is right in the middle of town within close walking distance of the bus terminal, restaurants and the trail heads. The quad room was large enough for our family of 4. We struggled a bit with powerpoints...

We stayed here for two nights. Our room was small, with a view of the street. It was clean and comfortable. The lobby has a large seating area with several tables that also serves as the breakfast area. Breakfast was very good, with cereal, a variety of breads and drinks. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Close to the main street.

Stayed here for just two nights and we very happy with our choice. Maybe it was a bit pricey, although it could be that prices are higher in El Chalten. Having said that, the standard was very high. The place is so clean that you could eat off the floor. Pretty big family room with a very nice bathroom. Central...

Shower is great, the room has all basics, in the lobby / breakfast room there is wifi and a fridge with cold drinks, good location and fair price. As for breakfast we had toast, ham, cheese and a lot of cookies and cakes.

This past December, my husband and I spent five weeks traveling in southern Patagonia. We spent a week and a half in the El Chalten area and a week at El Paraiso. The ladies there treated us like family, stored bags, kept leftovers in their fridge, brought hot chocolate and tea to our room after we returned from a long...

Convenient, quiet location close to the main street, with friendly attentive staff. More of a guesthouse or decent hostel than a hotel. Clean, simple, fairly small rooms with decent beds and a bit of storage space. Good hot water. No TV, few power points (2 in bathroom), no bedside lamp, basic foam pillows.Breakfast is bakery items, tinned peaches and drinks....
