On the positive side we were satisfied with the hotel ... the room was nice and it was nice that breakfest was included... On the negative side we were on a several week trip througout the Maritimes and pretty well booked hotels on a daily basis depending on where we were and have to say for a budget hotel we paid a pretty hefty price to stay at Super 8 ... far higher than other hotels we stayed at
Perfect location for our needs, far enough but not too far from Halifax and the starting point for our Nova Scotia vacation. Ask for a room on the other side than the freeway side and you will be rewarded with a view and quietness. So why only three points? I´m not a friend of carpets in hotel rooms (has something to do with hygiene) and "our" carpet was decorated with some interesting, unidentifiable "additional designs". The air condition and the shower curtain smelled like musty water (we were able to turn off the air con at the expense of the temperature, but it was worth it but we could not get rid of the shower curtain). So every time we came back into the room we were greeted by unpleasant smells. And one minor thing: I love pancake machines - if they are looked after and cared for. The machine here seemed to be hiccupping, but after speaking three times when another error message popped up, I accepted the situation (no pancakes today) and sat back and watched the show. I didn't want to make myself a nagging idiot either. That said, while we were still in the breakfast area, the person assigned to look after the breakfast walked past the machine three times, ignoring the error message (which I'm attaching here). So a little more attention to detail would be nice. Nevertheless and overall solid Super 8 standard.…
Stayed here on the way to Bridgetown. Hotel check-in was fast and efficient. Front desk staff a pleasure to deal with. Room was clean and comfortable. Keys lost their programming and I had to go get new ones. Even with new keys, I had trouble opening the door at times.
Great hotel for reaching all the wonderful views and attractions in the Windsor area and not that far to reach downtown Halifax and all that has to offer. Well situated close to the highway. A well kepy hotel, friendly staff, good breakfast, nice pool. Would recommend for sure.
Dirty.. creeky stained floors. Chicken bones spread all through the hallway for the 20 hours we Were there they were never picked up or disposed of. Definitely some sketchy drug use/prostitution going on in there. Side door opened all night with a rock definitely didn’t feel comfortable or safe being there. Not worth 150$ a night and won’t be back. PS absolutely no room to swim in the pool and dangerous for little ones as the pool is literally only big enough to come down the slide.. also hit the bottom every time we did use the slide. 1 star is very accurate
I booked a room for myself and my wife, plus an additional room for my mom, and we were treated very well by staff, place was always clean, staff was awlaways helpful and nice. The only bad thing is the room keys kept losing their room numbers. Beside that, it was a great place to stay and great staff
We would definitely recommend this hotel! It is good value for money, it very clean, breakfast is included and delicious and they have very friendly staff. We had the deluxe King with a jacuzzi tub. It was very clean.
Family room was out dated and not maintained at all. Bunk beds were wobbly and not secure, carpets were stained. I over paid for what I received in the room for me and my kids. No towels available also.
We enjoyed the bunk bed, the pool, and the breakfast bar very much!! Oddly enough, they didn't clean the room during our visit and there was no fitted sheets or duvet cover on the beds. Just normal sheets were used
We went for the pool and to just relax and have a family weekend. Everything was great. Clean room, pool was so much fun, breakfast had lots of options. Everyone left happy! Beds were very comfortable. Staff was very friendly. We will be back!
