This small restaurant with rooms is beautiful. It's set on a former stretch of A470 road, which is now bypassed and is very quiet. The decor is extremely tastefully done throughout and the place was very clean. The food and service was superb, and is what attracted us to book through Mr and Mrs Smith.com. Cannot fault any element of...

I booked to stay at the drawing room for and relaxing weekend away with my partner, this was situated in a beautiful location. When we were shown to our rooms we were exceptionally impressed by the interior... loving the Laura Ashley theme, just how I would dress my own home. Everything was pristine in the bathroom with the most amazing...

Very comfortable stay, felt very welcome. Food was excellent, both content and presentation could not be faulted. Our room was luxurious although the kingsize bed did not leave much space to move around in. A minor quibble because we would definitely return if visiting this beautiful part of Wales again.

Lovely weekend at the Drawing Room. Small but perfectly formed, the rooms are stylishly decorated and the hosts so welcoming and helpful. There is gorgeous scenery locally with some amazing walks from Talgarth at the edge of the Brecon Beacons. Finally the food is amazing. Perhaps amongst the best dining experience we have had. The care and thought the owners...

This was the fourth visit to the Drawing Room and the fifth won't be long. Mel and Colin provide an exceptional experience for those who appreciate the finest in food and wine. The rooms are all very well appointed, comfortable, spotless with great attention to detail. It is the food and wine that truly surpasses ANYTHING we've enjoyed at the...

?? Not true. It is not possible to miss that dinner is compulsory on the MrandMrsSmith website. I also gave you a call to book the time you wanted for dinner each evening and to ascertain whether there were any food dislikes or allergies. You fully understood that dinner was compulsory and you booked 7.30pm for each evening. I kept...

Spent 2 nights DB&B here and can't recommend it highly enough. Didn't really know what to expect when I booked, and was a bit worried that the menu was set and no choices available. Having been asked to state what we could/couldn't eat and what we liked, it was time to take a chance. And we weren't disappointed. I would...

If you like to try a different experience, you cannot go wrong by booking into the Drawing Room. Here you will get very good food, good decor and personal service, almost like sharing their home with you. With just 3 rooms and 4 tables for dinner this is not for those who like crowds. But if you like it quieter then...

The Drawing Room is set within beautiful countryside, plenty of varied walks and wonderful views. The hotel itself is thoughtfully decorated, a real fire in the original fireplace in the welcoming and comfortable lounge. We stayed in the Oliver room; it was comfortable and spotlessly clean. There was an ensuite bathroom with huge roll top bath, and underfloor heating. The...
