Stayed here for 3 nights as part of a large sports car club event Rooms were good, ours we upgraded to superior room on 4 floor overlooking side and car park Quiet, a very comfortable bed, good and spacious en suite with self activating lights. Some corridor parts a little bit tired with some water stains evident on 4th floor...

It's not at all easy to sum up this rambling old hotel. Over more than a century it has just grown and grown, extension after extension after extension, and it has two totally contrasting facades. At the front, right on the main road, it is flat-fronted and gabled, while at the back, it is a strongly vertical building with fantastic...

Brilliant experience in an old fashioned hotel. Got upgraded to the tower room which was a bonus and the spa and food were excellent! Only issue was the crab was a paste not actual crab but I don't know whether this is how crab is actually served

This professional hotel is located in Mid Wales, a beautiful Victorian town, easily accessible to people from all parts of Wales. They can accommodate several courses / conferences at the same time. I attended an educational course there. Good facilities, plenty of parking spaces and nice food. Usually there is a choice of hot food for lunch and sweet as...

This was our third visit during a long weekend at the beginning of May '15. It is a really massive hotel which manages to cope with 100s of people at the same time without our feeling crowded. We went with a motor rally of 60 cars and 120 people. The big plus is the enormous car park. There was plenty...

I was on a 2 day counselling course at this hotel. The parking was plentiful, the loos were clean and the refreshments great. Other participants who stayed overnight at the hotel said the beds were comfy and they would bring your evening meal to your room of you wanted it. Some of the rooms have amazing views over the Welsh...

This is big hotel with about 120 rooms, some of which are suites. Rooms are to a high standard and ours was freshly refurbished with an excellent bathroom. The breakfast selection is good - even featuring crumpets to toast. Staff were well trained and helpful and bar prices more than reasonable - San Miguel just £3.50 a pint. The car...

We spent three nights at The Metropole on a classic car tour with over 120 fellow enthusiasts. There were plentiful, helpful staff, the room was good, and the meals excellent. For a large, older hotel it was excellent. Would recommend.

The place has a nice pool, great food and friendly staff. Nice big hotel still run by a family I believe. We enjoyed ourselves so much we stayed a second night. What more could you want. Will be returning again in the near future.

Enjoyed a very relaxing stay in this lovely hotel. Staff were very friendly and the food was great. The swimming pool and amenities were very relaxing. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a lovely view over looking the green out front.
