Sorry, we can't please all! I would call my beds sturdy and I have had compliments about my showers. Good day to you!

My daughter and I enjoyed a couple of nights here. It was excellent value and very welcoming. As a bonus it's right in the centre of town. You can park extremely cheaply in the neighbouring public car park, so it's perfect if your business (or social activities) are in town. What isn't advertised is the fact that this is one...

Very friendly helpful landlady. Unfortunately that is about all I can say. Very uncomfortable beds with thin mattresses. No quilt, just sheets & blankets. Stale smell throughout hotel. No parking at all.

You stayed almost a month ago and and the time past must have obscured your memory! The mattresses in the twin room you stayed are thick, and I have only had compliments about those beds (and about all my beds, as a matter of fact). Yes, I do have woollen blankets and all cotton sheet. O.k., noses are individual. There...

Had a lovely stay with kristina and her dog toby. You need to look past the downstairs if ye oldie is not for you but the accomadation is brilliant. Very clean and well looked after. Kristina put a extra bed in for us and could not do enough. The breakfast was very nice and didn't rush us to come down....

We (2 adults, 2 boys) sheltered here for one night between camps. Arrived bedraggled and probably smelly to a lovely welcome from kristina and toby (jack Russell). Left next day after lovely baths, breakfast and laundry feeling revitalised and looked after. Great advice on an early evening walk, good ice cream, and the right pub. Nice paintings, low key, easy...

We stayed here for five nights. When we arrived we were met by Kristina and her faithful friendly dog Toby. Kristina was very accommodating, offering help and information wherever possible. Although we did not have a dog, it is obvious that this is a dog friendly hotel. The room we stayed in was of a good size with a large...

Thank you so much for your review! I am sorry you were too shy to ask for a variation of breakfast! I have taken your point of herbal teas ( I always had some in the kitchen!) and put a selection in the restaurant and in some rooms as well. Wishing you a good autumn!

We stayed 3 nights with the lovely Kristina and Toby the dog. Our room was immaculate, with super comfy bed and a bang up to date en-suite. Breakfast was a perfect start to the day, with particularly fine sausages. We also were given welsh cakes and choice of mueslies and cereals before our cooked breakfast, just as well there were...

Genuine welcome and friendliness at Cartref Hotel. Very convenient for town and facilities. Christine was great to talk with and very helpful. Excellent breakfast. The room was compact, but gave us everything we wanted. Christine was helpful with parking and also use of her garage for my bike. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.

Located on the main drive through town, this little hotel, rather B&B is similar to visiting Grandmas house complete with antique like chairs blanketed in a shabby-chic look, historical prints and plastic flowers, complete with old smells and a dog. It is very dated and dining room and part of the reception is cluttered with travel brochures and advertisement pamphlets...

Alarm bells were ringing when you booked my last room (probably the last in Fishguard as it was late May Bank Holiday and the Folkfest was on) and you were talking of cobwebs and allergies... However, I arranged you to have a room where dogs don't go. Your selective observation did not notice the original paintings I do have hanging...

We had a lovely weekend staying at the carntref this weekend. Had a lovely welcome from kristiina after a long journey with our children. Our family of 5 stayed, my self, partner and 3 children aged 14, 7 & 5 were overjoyed with Toby the little jack Russell. He's a sweetheart. Upsets me to read negative things on here about...

Thank you so much, we are so glad you were happy staying in the Cartref! You are certainly welcome back either in the Hotel or in our little cottage! Toby was initially brought up in a family with children and loves children. Best wishes and wagging tails from Toby and me.
