Interesting of victorian history made into a hotel. Can fully recommend the hotel, the two things you will find are that 1 - the staff work hard to make your stay perfect 2 - the view is second to none (guessing at an easy 40 miles to the north and south of the bay) 3 - the history and architecture...

We went out of season, beginning of Feb, when the north wales villages can be a bit quiet as a lot of businesses are closed - but we had the most fantastic beach walks, the coast here is so incredible with endless empty beaches! We enjoyed it. In season I can see it would definitely be the epitome of the...

We decided to try the west coast of wales as a post Christmas visit. Had a look around some places and thought the Ty'r Graig Castle looked interesting. It was quite a journey from where we live. Sat nav said 4 1/2 hours but that did not take into account the traffic on the M5! It was quite surreal drive...

Hello ikrmusic; thank you for your feedback. We're delighted to read that you enjoyed your stay and noted the Victorian grandeur of the building as soon as you arrived, especially after your long journey. Our wonderful views are the reason the house was originally built in the 19th century, and it's good to know that they are still appreciated today....

Just back from our 5th visit to Ty'r Graig and as ever our stay was wonderful. We had a different room this time with a mountain view instead of the sea and it was delightful. The room was lovely and the en-suite and facilities excellent. We love this hotel. It is full of atmosphere, it's welcoming and friendly and nothing...

Needing to travel to Barmouth on business with a colleague at short notice and hotel rooms in short supply, the very mixed reviews raised some concerns. However, my fears were not necessary. From the courteous and helpful welcome on arrival to the ease of settling our bills very late in the evening before our early departure, the service could not...

Dear Chris430, thank you for your feedback; we’re pleased to see that overall you enjoyed your visit, and appreciated our warm welcome and timeless views. Our rooms do vary in size and layout, an inevitable consequence of converting a Victorian private house to guest accommodation. Our food is all cooked to order, so second-guessing the timing of a guest is...

Not much going in Barmouth in October but the hotel was clean, comfortable and convenient. Plenty of parking and a friendly welcome. Only issue was with the shower but understand that they are trying to resolve this which is a problem when fully booked. Would recommend it.

Stunning hotel, from the minute we stepped into the foyer and was greeted by the manager, to the beautiful room with sea views. Staff were very polite and helpful, nothing was too much trouble.
