If you are thinking of visiting the Barmouth area you must first try to make a booking at the Bryn Melyn Guest House. Guest House is a bit of a misnomer really as the Bryn Melyn is more like a small, top quality. family run hotel. You will get no better accomodation and possibly worse service in any "top quality"...

Gosh! Thank you very much for taking the time to write such a positive review. It really is very much appreciated. We have been at Bryn Melyn for 7 years now and during that time have spent a lot of time (and money if we are truthful) an upgrading the experience of staying here. It's good when guests appreciate that...

This is a place that gives attention to detail. The welcome is warm, the room lovely, fresh and light, the views fabulous. The icing on the cake - it's very dog friendly. I highly recommend it and we will come back.

Thank you for taking time to review your stay with us at Bryn Melyn. We do try to create an environment here which is relaxing and restful so we are always pleased when our guests seem to 'get' what we are doing. And we promise to enjoy our cruise!

Fabulous stay. Room was spotless and everything replenished every day. Fantastic view over the estuary. Breakfast was great and certainly sets you up for the day. Huge hill to walk up to the property but certainly worth it for the views.

Thank you for posting your review. We do try and clean everything to a high standard so it is always good when our guests feel that we succeed. The hill seems to divide people - it's the thing we get most 'complaints' about, but as you observe it's the reason we have such wonderful views and we feel it's worth...

I stayed here for a week while my daughter and family were camping nearby. It is a fabulous place with very good quality food. The owners are very helpful and even gave me a lift to the train station on the day I left. My room was clean and tidy with lots of extras such as biscuits and chocolates in...

Second visit to the Bryn Melyn Guest House with the wife and the pooch! Absolutely loved it again. Perfect hosts, lovely breakfasts, beautiful views, even a couple of sausages thrown in for the dog! Highly recommend room 7 if stopping with a four legged furry friend. We'll be back!

One of the pleasures of our business is welcoming back repeat visitors and getting to know them better. We were delighted to see you again and so pleased you had such a good time. We welcome dogs in 3 of our rooms - Rooms 7 and 3, (double), and Room 5 (twin), all estuary-view first floor rooms. All other rooms...

Could have been a risk but we turned our 3rd visit here (after a gap of 18 months) into a house party of family and friends to celebrate a 'big' birthday. Nowhere I would rather have stayed and my confidence int the place, the accommodation and the sheer quality of the experience was duly repaid. Everyone loved it, raving about...

We don't often have a 'whole house booking' but we do love the atmosphere here when everyone in the house knows everyone else. There's a real 'buzz' and the place seems to come alive in a special way. It was a real pleasure to help make your 'big' birthday weekend something to remember and we appreciate all your comments very...

Thank you for taking the time to post your review and we are pleased you enjoyed your stay, (and especially pleased that you were able to enjoy the views which eluded you on check-in!). I'm sorry you felt we were a little over-priced. I guess pricing is always a contentious issue and assessing 'value' will never be anything other than...

Firstly , Dave and Heather, the owners, work very, very hard and professionally to ensure everyone enjoys their stay. We enjoyed ours immensely. Barmouth in August is VERY busy ! Bryn Melyn offers a tranquil haven away from all the seaside busyness. We left the car in the very adequate car park and walked or used the train or bus....

Thank you for taking the time to post a review and thank you for your kind comments. Barmouth is always hellishly busy in August, but up here we seem to ride above it as you cannot see or hear the busy part of town. We are pleased you had such a good time and look forward to welcoming you back...
