We were a large group of mature men looking for a base from which to appreciate the area . We could not have done better! The views are spectacular from this hotel and the rooms were bright clean and airy with big modern en suites. We were very well looked after by the staff especially the hard working Rosie ....

We have just got back from staying here for the weekend and we had a lovely time. The hotel was nicely presented, staff were welcoming and room size was great. Very clean and well heated. The full Welsh breakfast was devine! Location couldnt have been better, we done the panarama walk which starts just behind the hotel and the views...

Overall the hotel has the best setting in Barmouth, this is the main selling feature. Accomodation is ok to good, Seaview option is a must. Without the above, the hotel is functional with good sized rooms and average facilities. The wifi does not work in the rooms. The food is pleasant and service is good. The claim of boutique status is...

We turned up on wild wet Good Friday to spend my 50th in what is advertised as the 2nd best hotel in Barmouth! I would hate to think what the others down the list were like..... dirty cutlery, dead flowers on the table and only 2 staff working. Wifi is rubbish - hit and miss and the teeniest tiniest TV...

What a great find; close enough to Barmouth for dinner and pubs but far enough to miss the mass of Easter families. Great view from out double bed room; the room was spacious and bright. Walked along the railway bridge; 1 Mike return journey with views up the estuary. FYI - no food on Sunday evening

was very impressed with the images on booking.com of this hotel, it looked clean, modern and well worth the offer price of £90 per night. We spent the day in Barmouth until 3pm check in and when we arrived at the hotel was impressed by the building and very nicely maintained grounds with great views, but after getting the keys...

Another great visit to the Bae Abermaw. The sea view always thrills. A lovely room. Reception staff were friendly. Breakfast staff less so. Always had smiling waitresses on previous visits, the waiters this time were unsmiling and brusque. Bring back the girls. The breakfast was yummy as always.

We stayed for three nights and had a great time. The room was excellent, clean and light with a sea view to die for. The staff were young and friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Breakfast was brilliant with lovely local produce and nice sized portions. The only word of warning, it is half way up a steep hill...
