Staying in Ullapool and looking more for music on a Monday we went to the Argyll. We met up with local musicians Ian, Sue and David and joined them in a night of various styles of music from traditional to contemporary. A fun time on a rainy Monday. Great staff and a friendly place, thanks.

My husband and I recently stayed here. We had an excellent front facing room over Loch Broom and also the ferry terminal. Apparently the ferry leaves in the early hours of the morning, but didn't hear it leave. Bit off putting that we had breakfast served in the Ferry Boat Inn over the road, but breakfast was very hood both...

We booked in here for 1 night and we're pleased that was all. The hotel has a very tired and run down appearance, the bar carpet was dirty and clearly hadn't been vacuumed that day. Our room was on the top floor but there was no offer of help to carry bags up. The room did have a view over...

Booked here because not much choice, even this early in the season. Was a little worried by the overall rating of the place , but were actually pleasantly surprised. Room was fine and warm, bar cosy and with real fire. Whilst not perfect we were happy with the decor. The guy running the place (sorry we didn't get your name)...

We have eaten here several times on our most recent visit to Ullapool and have enjoyed every meal. The bar area is warm and pleasant and the staff are really welcoming and helpful. the place is to be congratulated on its choice of vegetarian meals - more than in most other restaurants in town. The vegetarian sausages with mash served...

We were in the bar area as we had our dog, the food was very good and service was friendly. The prices we paid we believed to be very reasonable too. Would highly recommend the vegetarian sausage and mash!

Just back from a very pleasant overnight stay at the Argyll hotel. Made very welcome from the start and enjoyed a great meal by the fire on a cold February evening. Room was adequate for a one night stay, with a stunning view to wake up to over Loch Broom and beyond. Breakfast was good and quick to arrive so...

We stayed one night and loved the interior and small details in the room (an old radio which brought back childhood memories, and couch which reminded us of the decade we grey up etc.). The interior - including the bathroom - was clean and fresh (seem to have been updated recently, but not sure as I didn't ask). The bed...
