we stayed at the end of the season so hotel very quiet. no restaurant so evening meal needs to be sourced in the town itself which is just 5 minutes walk away. found eateries very expensive though £15 for fish and chips !!? some quayside shops to browse in and a regular ferry to take a trip or just watch... I stayed here recently with a large group. This is not a 5 star hotel and doesn't claim to be. This is a friendly, family run motel style accommodation.. Not sure what previous reviews were complaining about. Our room wasn't huge but it was fine with a large King-size bed with stunning views overlooking Loch Broom. There was a heater,... More

We arrived without a reservation and were offered three room choices. We opted for the double, waterfront room for two nights. It had a great view of Loch Broom, the ferry arriving/departing and the small village. The room was very clean and average size. The bed was comfortable and queen size. There was a small but adequate size bathroom with... More

Harbour Lights is beautifully situated near the water at the entrance to Ullapool from the east. It is large and more like a motel than a B & B. It is walking distance to the harbor where all the pubs and cafes are located. Price level was normal and the service very friendly and welcoming. The motel is a few... More

We were all expecting a small roadside B&B so were pleasantly surprised by the friendly hotel style reception. Clean efficient with superb rooms. The breakfast was perfect. We will visit again when in the area.

We had not planned to stay here. But when we arrived out our previously reserved dog friendly b&b, they had double booked our room. The owner rang around and eventually got us a room here. To be honest we weren't impressed at first with the hotel. Although clean and tidy, it looked very dated and old fashioned. The room was... More

One of the last places we could get to break up a journey on the ferry. Our room -14 - was small, dingy and the toilet door did not close properly leaving a few cm gap. We really thought we must be doing something wrong but no the track above meant it didn't close over. I wish I could say... More

I recently stayed at Harbour lights for one night on a trip round the NW 500. From arriving to leaving eveything was absolutley brilliant and my only regret was I couldn't stay longer. The hospitality industry is all about presentation and attention to detail. Harbour Lights is spot on with everything. Thank you for my wonderful stay and I will... More
