If you are looking for somewhere that's very nice I would keep looking. The hotel staff are lovely, and its good value for money if you paid what I did (£205 for DB&B 3 nights) but I probably wouldn't stay again. The place is in dire need to a refurb. A lick of paint, some new carpets/doors and a soft...

Possibly the worst no actually the worst hotel I have ever stayed in! Needing a lick of paint with a GIANTS Tongue, I don't think there's a straight edge in our room. The bed springs are shot and the blood runs to your head. The single glazing leaves the room freezing and the bathroom is just odd. We booked the...

Stayed here last summer and got a room with a lovely view of the harbour. The room itself was a bit dated and could do with a lick of paint. However the hotel is in a good location. We went for the dinner option which we booked for 7pm but by that time there was not much left to choose...

Stayed here one night before taking the ferry to Stornaway. Check in was easy and the person was pleasant. Room was a good size although very basic. Bed was too soft. The room seemed clean. The worst part of the one night stay was the shower. There was plentiful cold water but just a trickle of hot water. I ended...

Ullapool is a terminal for the ferries going to the islands, and our impression of the town was that it was on "hard times" We arrived at the hotel around 4:30, and wanted to have a look at the shops, but found that the vast majority of them had closed at 4:30. It seems that the Caledonian Hotel is suffering...

Such a shame could be very very good considering the location.Bespoke hotels need to invest in the building and a decent chef. All customer facing staff are great taking into account the shabby product they are expected to promote. Tinned food for dinner is not acceptable when 3 courses cost £18.95.Shortly closing for the season hope the powers that be use...

Room decent for what you pay. DO NOT eat here at night.Limited menu and when it came it was all from a can, disgusting! Fair play to them tho they refunded it all. Chicken on the bone, carrots etc all from tins! Staff friendly and very helpful! Breakfast was decent enough.

It was a disaster, they simply take advantage that Ullapool is one of the place you almost "have to spend a night" during, your Highland trip. The staff was not really friendly, the rate way too high, and my room was a joke (i have seen bigger shoe boxes). Stay at one of the B&B, MUCH better!
