All my comments relate to the George not red lion. It would've been nice to know we were booking the George at the time but the booking site gave no indication. I cannot review the red lion as did not stay there

Breakfast to die for, lovely local lady in the morning. Not as good in the evening. Room on the whole very good and clean, could do with a bit of tlc, curtains were faded when open, bits of bashed paintwork, just minor stuff really, but would have helped my review to a 5. Could,nt enjoy the garden due to the...

A busy pub/hotel providing food to the many visitors to the National Trust Lacock Abbey and village. Three of us visited on a Saturday in May just as the lunch time rush was beginning to subside. A reasonable section of pub food and range of beers. The fish platters were nicely presented, but the salad had omitted the bus cheese,...

A pleasure to eat there, food was good, the service quick. Polite and helpful staff. Made our party of nine welcome. The amnesty was clean and well maintained. Happy to go there again. River Thames is close by

We had a most enjoyable stay at the Red Lion- the staff were all most helpful and friendly, the room was lovely, and the food very good. The Pub is very central to the village with the Abbey and gardens nearby and parking is easy. We'd definitely stay again!

A stayover for a funeral in the local area. Having visited Laycock before, this time wanted to stay in the classic 'hotel overlooking the square'. Sometimes these places are romanticised and fail to deliver, and was concerned on first arrival that this would be the case, as on check in staff seemed a little vague. After seeing the room this...

Quality room and en suite tastefully decorated. Fascinating much filmed village and characterful pub hotel. Excellent choice of breakfast cooked and served with attention to customer not the clock. We would go back here again without hesitation.

Very good service and staff , but the mattress in the tithe room was in serious need of replacement . The staff couldn't have been more helpful in meeting our dietary needs and timing . The windows need some attention as they won't stay open without putting in something to hold them open

We had visited Lacock Abbey and walked all round the village on a pleasant Spring day. Looking for a hearty lunch, we reviewed the menu outside the Red Lion and decided it sounded promising. We were not disappointed. We found a table in a quiet corner, then ordered from the bar. The lady behind the bar was friendly, and quickly...
