we have just returned from a 2 night stay at "bottom ship" and would recommend it to anyone. Perfect setting. Friendly and very helpful staff, nothing ever to much trouble. Good choice of food on menu, well presented food, good service. Good choice of beers....More
The Bottom Ship is a super olde worlde, low doored, low beamed, Pub in a brilliant position at Porlock Weir, on the edge of the road, across from the paying Car Park, which bounds the sea, grey shingle beach and Harbour.

The double room was surprisingly quiet even though it was above the bar. Everything you needed - hairdryer, hostess tray, bath gels etc. was provided but it is hoped that the double mattress is replaced urgently. It was soggy to say the least.
