I know times change but sadly this place hasn't improved or sustained over the years. It is very run down and tired. However the specials calamari were generous, fresh and swiftly served. The bar staff were friendly and helpful. Remember they probably earn the minimum wage. 30 years ago this was Gairloch's fine dining restaurant . Maybe with some investment...

Stayed in the gairloch in august 2016. Ate at The Millcroft every night. The manager was friendly as was the owner. The majority of staff were friendly. The food was brilliant, would recommend to anyone who is in the area. Thank you to Tom and staff.

Staff really helpful, able to offer secure bike storage, restaurant reassuringly busy. Bustling bar great to unwind in, live music excellent. Hotel is getting on a bit but clean and definitely value for money.

Very shabby rundown hotel disappointed at the high price we paid for bed and breakfast. Room quality poor old TV we couldn't get to work and hairdryer cut off after every 30 seconds as though it was overheating. Beautiful view of the sea from our room makes me think this could be stunning hotel as Gairloch itself is a lovely...

We were not expected, despite having booked. The entire hotel had a damp smell and a dirty look about it. There was so much noise downstairs in the bar, and the atmosphere in the bedroom so stale, the bed uncomfortable, that I spent the entire night in my car. I knew it was clean. Gairloch itself is lovely. I would recommend...

Me and my parents stayed here from 11-14 July 2016. On arrival on Monday 11th the lady at the desk (Ruth?) asked us to check the boxes on slips for what we liked for Breakfast. As there was no family room available I had been given Room 1 and my parents were given Room 15. The doors along the corridors...
