Read many reviews saying how amazing this Farm house was, but found our stay in Emma's suite very ordinary. It was meant to sleep 3 adults but the 2nd bedroom was very small drab and ,dark with a window overlooking a brick wall. The bathroom which could be entered from both bedrooms had a small size bath so only really...

We stayed here for a few days and we really enjoyed it. We stayed in Jenny's cottage and it was clear no expense had been spared, it had everything you could want and more, we didn't want to leave. Highly recommended.

We had picked this from a travel guide and found it to be everything we could have asked for as a totally relaxing short break after a strenuous walking tour. Dorothy and Brian were the most welcoming hosts imaginable without being all over us. The room and bathroom were a good size and perfectly comfortable. Breakfast with fresh fruit was...

My husband and I stayed in Bilton Barnes on Wednesday 5 October. The B and B could not have been better in any way. The room was well and comfortably furnished, with a window seat from which there was a stunning view across fields to the sea. The en suite, complete with free standing bath and a large walk-in shower,...

Stayed for a week (self-catering) in Emma's Cottage, part of a handsomely converted stone building on Bilton Barns farm, from where we motor-toured daily around beautiful, historic Northumberland. This is a place with easy access to the main roads, clean, spacious, tranquil, styled attractively in the vernacular with excellent parking and even a view of the shimmering sea, all discreetly...

What a delightful hostess! Dorothy was relaxed, friendly and helpful. How she manages everything she does and drives the tractor too, is a mystery to me. We stayed in the beautifully furnished four poster room with a view over the sea. A lovely light and spacious room with a comfortable sofa and plenty of room in the shower for all...

Beautifully located on a working arable farm we found Bilton Barns down a long private track leading to the main farmhouse built in the early 18th Century. We were greeted by Dorothy, shown to our room and then treated to tea and cake. We had the Four poster room with great views over the garden and then beyond to Alnmouth...

Pretty rustic appearance, and peaceful settling. Room and breakfast excellent. Charming helpful family enhanced the pleasure of our stay. Would definitely return should we venture to Northumberland again

We spent two nights in this wonderful B&B last week; having done the Scottish C2C and then cycled around the coast to Alnmouth. Bilton Barns.is in a very tranquil location on a working farm with a stunning view over fields and trees towards the sea. The quality of light in this part of England is striking. Our room was spacious...

Beautiful countryside setting with relaxing sun lounge most welcome (& cake on arrival) Especially after our classic car broke down on route and we arrived on a low loader! The owners couldn't be more helpful & sympathetic with our plight, even driving us to local pub for a meal in the evening and insisting we rang to be picked up...
