I spent one night at Roraima House in October. The owner Stuart Purdie picked me up from the train station (right off the platform) and he and his wife could not have been kinder or more attentive hosts. I loved my warm and spacious room with its quite chic ensuite bathroom, four-poster bed and views of the cliffs and sea....

We stayed here for three nights. It's an old house, but comfortable and quiet. And very clean. Our room was spacious, with nice furniture. Stuart and Sandra are friendly hosts - they made us welcome from the word go and gave us some good tips. There was also a book in the room with plenty of helpful information from the...

We had a beautiful room at the front -four poster bed -very comfortable. Amazing bathroom with a roll top bath and separate shower -very large bathroom with a display of coloured bottles. Parking at the back is useful as there's NO parking in the lower village and it's a pleasant walk down -although a heavy walk back !!!! Nice tea...

I was born 5 miles from Staithes so I know the area. We wanted somewhere to stay whilst attending my mother's 99th Birthday. Easy to book, easy to find. Big red brick house with amazing front garden, a haven for bees and the senses. Very helpful Stuart and Sandra. Keep an eye out for odd items dotted around the house....

This is the 5th time we have stayed at Roraima House and we would not entertain staying anywhere else when in the area. The owners Stuart and Sandra are what really make the place. One of them is always there to greet you when you arrive. Nothing is too much trouble - need help with where to walk, places to...

This is a beautifully renovated Victorian House at the top of the hill leading down to Staithes harbour, with its own parking spaces behind the property. We stayed in Bedroom 1, which was spacious and airy with views across the cliffs and a very comfortable, modern 4 poster bed. The large, tastefully decorated en suite boasted a larger than normal...

We stayed at Roraima House with our family (2 adults, three children 14, 11, 7 years) for seven days and we enjoyed every minute. The appartement on the top floor is generous and spacious. You can lock the door and stay there like in a holiday flat with everything you need to make a longer holiday. The ten minute walk...

We had the most enjoyable stay with Stuart and Sandra. They did everything possible to make our holiday a success - a comfortable, clean room, lots of helpful and interesting advice, hearty breakfasts and superb cakes and tea every day.
