Booked late and got a cancellation. Massive beautiful wood panelled characterful room overlooking the garden and stretching to distant horizon. Character is sometimes used to excuse short-comings that you can live with due to other benefits. Not in this case. Everything about the room was spot on. Breakfast was beautifully prepared and the finest quality products. Vicky the owner is...

I booked the four poster room at Braithwaite Hall as the pictures looked awesome. The room itself goes far beyond what the pictures show from its wood panelled grandeur, and wonderfully comfortable, huge bed. The hall was immaculate and has a wonderful family atmosphere. Vicky could not do enough for us and is a brilliant cook with home made bread,...

We stayed in the apartment of Braithwaite Hall for a weekend break. We had difficulty finding it as it is off the beaten track, although that is just how we like it. We should have followed Vicky's directions. Vicky gave us a wonderful warm welcome and showed us around. The apartment is gorgeous, very old and we felt like Lord...

This place is fantastic! The host Vicky was incredibly warm and welcoming, the room (4 Poster Room) was huge, spotless, quirky, incredibly well facilitated and to top it off had a beautiful view. The breakfast, I didn't know bacon could taste so good, everything was sourced locally and tasted incredible. Worth every penny, a real gem of a place.

The apartment lived up to and beyond expectation. It rained every day, but somehow because of the beautiful location and comfortable, dog friendly, surroundings, it didn't...
