Used to be ok for food, but If been twice in the last couple of weeks and it's not good. Funny sauces, badly cooked chicken, peas like bullets, etc. Maybe the old chefs left or something. Hope it improves.

Was a little reserved about going here with family but was pleasantly surprised. whilst the decor and staff look dated the service and food is great. Good grub at good prices = We will return here. Just one small thing, there were numerous things on the menu that weren't actually available so plan a reserve so you dont waste time...

Fantastic pub. Excellent food . Can't beat home made cottage pie. The puddings are also worth there money. Plenty to eat . Couldn't even finish it. Staff are lovely and friendly. Defiantly worth another visit.

I have had several Sunday lunches here and never had to complain, but this Sunday OMG greasy roast potatoes and parsnips and extremely sloppy vegetables and then had to wait ages before a member of the staff asked if we wanted a pudding not what we're used to when we come here and not good enough.

Want a basic good meal with no frills and a place for your dog to come too, then this is your place. Need to book as it is popular and the locals like too. Dogs allowed in bar if you ring ahead of your visit. Good menu. Good service and reasonable prices.
