Stayed just one night but can't wait to go back. Very friendly welcome (unplanned and just turned up hoping for the best). I was showed three rooms and would have been happy in any of them. Chose Rm 23 at the front of the hotel na sit was just ideal. Warm feel and comfortable bed. Delicious breakfast (full english).

I received a pleasant welcome on my arrival from the friendly staff. My room was small but it was sufficient for my one night stay. My room was clean and tidy as was the bathroom. I had an evening meal at the Hotel which was cooked and presented to a good standard. Overall I would stay at this Hotel again.

Old coaching Inn on the edge of the town centre. Large car park at rear. Rooms are small but adequate and the bathroom a good size. Old building with uneven floors. Good value. Nice breakfast cooked to order.

We were booked into this hotel with many family members for a wedding in the area. There was an awful lot of confusion over booking the evening meal in advance for everyone's first night, which caused a lot of chaos amongst family members as everyone tried to track people down with a menu choice before 6pm the day before the...

This hotel is situated in a lovely place, if it wasn't they would certainly struggle in today's climate. Tired rooms that desperately need a refurb, good parking, breakfast was good and plenty to choose from besides mushrooms that you have to pick soil off. Dining room lacks space to get your breakfast as it is served from a small over...

Fortunately we had only a one night stay at The Angel. The 'double' room had what seemed to be a 4ft bed, right up against the wall, with a 'single' size headboard. Just enough room for us to pass each other on the other side (and we are not large people). The only hook, behind the bathroom door, had come...

Having booked and confirmed a dinner reservation for two imagine my disappointment when we turned up to be told that the restaurant was closed but it was the same menu in the bar, we were welcome to eat there, if I'd wanted to eat in a bar I would have gone to one! There was no heartfelt apology. What distressed...

Great location on the main street through town, free parking behind the hotel and a lovely, fresh cooked breakfast. Not bad for the rate we paid but needs a refurb. It's an old building so expect creaky floorboards and if your room is near the back expect a long walk from the stairs on uneven floors - this was fun...
