Veronica and Don run a very welcoming and homely B&B in a beautiful location. The house itself is charming, reminiscent of a Jane Austen setting! The views over the valley are stunning, and the room very well-equipped. It has tea and coffee making facilities, hair-dryer, lovely bathroom which while not en-suite is for private use by the occupants of the double room.

Breakfast was modest in size, which was perfect for us but may err on the small size for those with hearty appetites. Saying that, I'm sure Veronica would happily provide second helpings.

Overall a fantastic stay. Thanks Veronica & Don!

This is my second visit to 'Morningside' with Don and Veronica, and they were as welcoming, friendly and helpful as the first time I stayed a couple of years ago. The rooms are homely, clean and provide everything you need for a relaxing stay. Breakfast is fantastic, as is the range of reading material around the house! We will definitely be back to stay soon.

We stayed one night in the very spacious en-suite room, and really couldn't have been more comfortable. Morningside's surroundings are beautiful [as are the views across the valley from the en-suite room]; the house is spotlessly clean; Vron and Don are the perfect hosts; and Vron's breakfasts would be hard to better. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Morningside to others, and will ourselves undoubtedly be back.

I stayed with Don and Veronica for 5 nights and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The garden is beautiful and the view from my window over towards the village was stunning.
Breakfast was very good - berries and fresh eggs from their own hens. I was staying with colleagues and Veronica very kindly laid a table for us on the evenings when we chose to eat what we had purchased at the local grocery store.
Morningside is well situated and is a short walk (5 minutes max) down to Nailsworth town centre. Veronica offered to drive us to the town centre on our last day and so saved us the trouble of lugging our luggage down the hill.
I found the room a little cold but there was an electric heater provided which I made use of.

Don and Veronica, were the best hosts, welcome me with a cup of tea on arrival.

I had a lovely room upstairs looking out over the road and a fabulous breakfast every morning in the lovely quaint dining room.

I was even able to find a friend and colleague a room of which she was equally happy with.

We had a very pleasant stay for a week. Many thanks them both for making my stay so pleasurable.

Pleasant old house a short walk from the town centre. Don and Veronica are very friendly hosts who go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The family room is huge, effectively two bedrooms linked together with an ensuite shower and toilet in the middle. With excellent views across the valley this is a light and airy room, very comfortable.
The breakfast is generous using good quality produce. Veronica made the nicest scrambled eggs I have had in a long time.
The walk down hill into the town centre takes around 10 minutes. We found the return back up the hill was straightforward but people with mobility difficulties may prefer a short taxi ride.
Should we need to stay in the area again we would be very happy to stay at Morningside again and I have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

Absolutely lovely B&B run by a very friendly and welcoming couple. Rooms were clean and homely and a nice cooked breakfast was served in the morning (much needed on the morning after a family gathering!). The town of Nailsworth was a pleasant place to have a stroll around, especially as there was some kind of festival going on and there were a couple nice pubs nearby. For those who aren't too keen on walking, the B&B is up a bit of a steep hill from the town centre but it is a lovely location, will happily stay here again if I'm ever back in the area!

Have just spent a lovely three day, two night stay at this B&B. Don and Veronica are very welcoming and relaxed. We had the family room with the fabulous view over the valley and garden. Was very happy to meet Fudge the beautiful fox like dog, the cockerel and chickens especially the bantams who provided my eggs for breakfast (as I don't like egg white)
The house is easy to find and is walking distance from Nailsworth town centre. Would highly recommend and hope to return. Also great if you like to read as there are books everywhere.

We were looking for a B & B near Nailsworth as we had been invited to a wedding in the area and the location of the B & B was about 4miles away. Morningside was easy to find with it's own small off-road parking area. Veronica and Don booked us in and showed us to our room, which was I believe, called the "family" room. The room was a double length room with a double bed one end and single bed at the other with a en-suite bathroom in the middle. There was a flat screen TV and also tea and coffee making facilities, a big was the free WIFI. The views from the windows were absolutely stunning. Having time before the wedding we walked down into Nailsworth and spent a couple of hours wandering about, lovely little town with lots of nice walks.
The breakfasts where freshly cooked to order or you could have cereal, fruit juice etc., all very nice. We booked for two nights 21st and 22nd December 2014.
We would be more than happy to recommend Morningside, the hosts are full of information on the area.

Morningside – A very warm & friendly welcome and a huge room with en suite walk in shower. Lovely views of the garden or across the valley to the other side of Nailsworth from every window in the bedroom. The house is beautiful in a lovely setting with a gorgeous lovingly cared for garden. Delicious, cooked to order breakfast, with eggs from hens in the garden and great bonhomie from the lady and gentleman of the house, Veronica and Don. Wifi included along with easy bedside access to mains power for phone charging or laptop power. A very comfortable double bed (with a single also available in the room). I enjoyed a great couple of night’s sleep with no traffic noise; only birdsong to break the peace. Excellent value for money at £40 per night. TV and tea/coffee making facilities in the room along with a carafe of drinking water. I enjoyed a thoroughly pleasant stay here and I would wholeheartedly recommend this b&b to anyone. The welcome and bonhomie of a place make a massive impact on the pleasantness of the stay and this was great! 10/10
