Staff were really very friendly, room was clean and had everything you would need and expect. Really enjoyed my stay and would come back, it's a really picturesque village and the pub/hotel is beautifully decorated. All in all I was incredibly impressed.

22 of us have just returned from a weekends stay and we cannot recommend this place highly enough. The Inn itself is beautiful - all of the rooms spacious and very tastefully and individually decorated, the 'beer' garden is glorious and we enjoyed every drink served from espresso martinis to their summer blush wine! What stands out most is the...

Visited this pub with my partner after a recommendation. Well all I can say is don't bother if you want a drink anytime in a hurry. The staff blatantly ignored anybody who wasn't a local. Stood at bar waiting and was totally ignored, yet as soon as two locals finished pint they were served. Staff rude and unpleasant other than...

A fabulous establishment in the heart of Nortleach. Called for a drink on our way home. A lovely place with equally lovely guests. Sadly very badly let down by possibly the most miserable maybe unhappy barman I have ever met! Even words of one syllable were difficult for this individual, when enquiring as to where the garden was we were...

Nine of us had supper last night. In a back room sitting on benches - probably because we were late booking. Service was friendly but inattentive, amateurish and needed direction. Food was very average for the price and some strange combinations (a pile of capers on a platter of prosciutto and more again with calves liver and spinach!). Wine list...

Quaint village and a lovely setting but as a pub it's not cheap. But well worth a stop - try the Bloody Mary and ask for extra horseradish - fabulous ! Food was very good - must try pork belly...bar staff brilliant but waiters young and had no idea...

What to say about the Wheatsheaf? First off, the location is just amazing. Northleach is a typical Cotswold village and the perfect base for exploring. Big tick. Secondly, it's like one of your favourite pubs where you go for really good food with a group of friends or family. We got lucky and enjoyed the first sunny weekend of the...

We were not staying but We booked on line for an early supper. When we arrived we were told that we would have to vacate the table by 8.30 which gave us an hour and forty five minutes, it was not a problem but some warning in the confirmation would be good. The staff were friendly but disorganised. We were...

Our party stayed here for a family wedding. Lovely choice, cosy clean, albeit a tad cramped rooms. Wonderful breakfast too. I'd definitely love to come and stay here again in the not too distant future.

As ever, I'm always fascinated by the 'poor' reviews on TripAdvisor. I won't be adding to them with an exciting tale of woe this time, I'm afraid! We booked a last-minute trip to the Cotswolds in November last year, and found the Wheatsheaf by scouring the internet. Couldn't have been happier with it: we booked a dog-friendly room on the...
