The Mariner Hotel is a 10 minute walk up hill from the quayside. It is a friendly, comfortable stopover hotel. We stayed for just the one night. Our room was at the front of the hotel overlooking the main road, which wasn't too noisy. It was a medium sized double room, with en-suite. The room was equipped with coffee/tea making...

Room 12 provided double vistas of the beautiful sea and cobb. It's an old hotel - in need of some 'tlc' here and there but it is clean, the bed comfy and the towels fluffy and large. Sloping ceilings and narrow hallway steps lend to the older status of the building. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The cooked...

Last minute booking and luckily found a hotel which took dogs. There is a £10 supplement for having a dog which is understandable. Restaurant was closed but there are plenty of places in Lyme Regis that allow you to take dogs and eat. Had a great breakfast in the bar area (because of my dog) Lovely garden area with views...

We were there for one night. Staff was very friendly, the bar was nice and the garden lovely with nice view to the sea. Breakfast was very good. Our room was quite small, but clean. This place is advertised as a four star hotel. We were -therefore - appaled finding a "no drinking water" sign in the shower room. Until...

The staff at the hotel were very welcoming. We had a brilliant Seaview from our room but the best bit was the sunrise. The photo doesn't do it justice. Wonderful breakfast with very attentive staff. Good, clean room Only downside is that the WiFi didn't work.

Friendly staff, although somewhat short-staffed. Fine breakfast selection, choices from tea/toast to full English breakfast. Scrambled eggs were excellent…not too dry, not too runny. Lovely garden with teak furniture. View of the sea. Outstanding shower! Clean comfortable room. However, this hotel does look its age and could use some spiffing up. It's not a five-star hotel, but is a good...

We selected this hotel as it had everything we were looking for, walking distance to town, lovely garden with fantastic views, bar and restaurant etc. However on arrival we saw from a notice outside that the restaurant was closed, we were a little disappointed especially as we booked in June for September break and felt a phone call could of made...

My Mother had booked 3 nights here based on the reviews she had read, and that it offered an award winning restaurant.. She rang the week before to check when we could check in only to be told at that point there was no restaurant as the chef had left. We decided to still go, but on arrival were very...

We have been regular visitors to Lyme Regis for the last 20 years, but this the first time we have tried Mariners Hotel, sadly I would not return. On arrival we received a cheerful welcome, but that was the only positive. The hotel is housed in a lovely old building but the rooms are cheaply and unsympathetically furnished. I would have...
