I stayed at The Smuggler last weekend as a solo traveller and have done many times before. It is like home from home. I had a cottage room with wet room shower on the ground floor which was very quiet, impeccably clean and cosy. Lyme is always an intriguing place to visit for a weekend with its quirky high street,...

I have stayed in this B&B many a time and it has always been comfortable and enjoyable. Lyme Regis itself is obviously gorgeous and The Smuggler offers friendly and relaxing accommodation. There is a homely and personal feel but it still retains a "holiday" atmosphere. It's quirky and all stays there have been filled with fond memories. If you go...

We have regularly visited Lyme Regis as a family for over 15 years and each time have come back to stay in the Smugglers. We are welcomed everytime and there is a warm, family-friendly atmosphere and even our dog enjoys the visits! I cannot recommend this B&B more highly: centrally placed for visits to Lyme itself or for the lovely...

I stayed in the main house with my wife who is from China, Chrissy the owner made my wife very welcome. She even went over to the Co-op in the morning to get some noodles for her for breakfast. We was just a hop, skip and jump away from the beach with a nice pub next door. We will be...

A delightfully eclectic home - the only original house remaining intact in the excellent location of Broad Street. The rooms are comfortable, cosy and well appointed and there is a very good selection of books and dvds. Guests have use of a small kitchen for tea & coffee, and there is ample parking. Stonking breakfast cooked a served by the...

Ummmmmm, we have stayed in so many B&B's, its what we do! However, on reading the reviews which were good, we thought a little differently. The location is excellent right on the high street and minutes from the beach. We thought it was over priced for what we experienced. The room was OK, the sheets had items of bodily hair...

We had a very warm welcome, the bedroom was nice and breakfast on the terrace was lovely. The Smuggler is situated in a nice part of Lyme Regis behind shops and close to the beach. We didn't go into the main part of the building but the extension bedrooms were good. I would have liked to have seen the older part...
