Incredible peace and quiet in a beautiful setting. Saw a barn owl from the window and deer in the local forest. A wonderful sense of being hidden away and yet within easy reach of so many highlights of Dartmoor as well as several villages. The converted barn itself is warm and extremely cosy. Perfect place to either snuggle away from... More

Such a cosy, warm and well equipped cottage in a lovely, peaceful location. Huw and Liza are the perfect hosts, very kind and so helpful. Delicious homemade bread and yummy granola (sorry, we will bring your plastic container back!) both homemade by Liza certainly sets you up for the day. Our visit was definitely too short!

At Easdon Cottage there is the B&B in the cottage and a self catered barn, we stayed in the Barn for a week in March. We recieved a warm welcome from Hugh and Liza and there was a small welcome package of eggs, homemade bread, butter and milk in the fridge to start us off, this helped save a trip... More

Have now been here three times. The place is lovely as are the people (there when you need them, able to disappear when you want privacy and solitude!). Why is it so lovely? Beautiful location; the feel of being in the middle of nowhere despite the place being easily accessible (for us, from London); the chance to see deer walk... More

What a fantastic place this is to escape to, we absolutely loved staying here and would definitely return if we were ever back in the area. Points to be aware of - and some of these are almost positives! The driveway to get up to the cottage feels very narrow. I did get my large estate car up here undamaged... More

My husband and I stayed for two days at Easdon in Dartmoor in August this year. We were greeted with much warmth by Hugh and Liza then shown to our large beautifully decorated room. Hugh and Liza made us feel part of their family and even though we are not vegetarians, we have never had such a lovely breakfast. This... More

My partner and I stayed at this B&B for a weekend trip (2 nights) in February and had a most enjoyable stay. Both Hugh and Lisa were extremely welcoming, making us feel very comfortable throughout our stay. The room we stayed in was spacious and came with its own bathroom; only being there for two days, however, meant that we... More

We had a fantastic time with Hugh and Lisa. From first contact to final goodbyes (we're sure we'll be back) they were welcoming and helpful. Our accommodation was clean and cosy, and perfect for a week dodging Dartmoor's rain (lots of interesting books to read when rained-in). The views from the barn conversion were great and the location was perfect... More
