We happened upon this delightful hotel by chance, and are so glad we did! Driving along the formal lake to the pretty house cheered us after a long journey. Nothing disappointed. We were warmly welcomed, shown to a lovely room in the clocktower. Walked around the grounds, enjoying birdsong and lovely views. Dining in the hotel was good, with well...

We came for an enjoyable family reunion lunch (good) and (with still quite full stomachs) stayed for a couple of dinner starter dishes and then a very good night's sleep. Next morning we had an excellent traditional English breakfast (including black pudding, for those who like it) and our American niece ehjoyed her pancakes and maple syrup. We thought the...

We visited Lakeview Manor over the early May Bank holiday. The hotel itself has lovely grounds and the staff are very friendly and helpful. There was a wedding on the day we checked in and turned out that our room was almost immediately above the disco. I asked if we would hear it in our room as we were planning...

We arrived here on a recovery truck after being involved in an accident where our car had been written of. The owner and her daughter couldn't do enough to help they were the best, just what you need in a very difficult situation. They upgraded our room, rang car hire places for us, gave us lifts around as now were...

We stayed here for for a one night break. The hotel is very secluded (lots of country lane driving), but is the perfect setting for escaping the daily grind. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Our room was a little dated, but suited the surroundings, although our room had a slightly disappointing view of the roof. We dined in...

A truly magical setting in the Devonshire country, Upon arrival in the late afternoon after a day at Taunton races provided a wonderful midway stop for our trip to Exter racecourse the next day. The settings of the hotel are pastoral and yet secluded making for a quiet resting place. The food and accommodation were first class and the staff...
