An excellent one night stay with our wee dog Ollie. Staff were friendly and nothing bothered them whatsoever. location is spot on, two minutes walk to the golf course perimeter then walk five more into town. The whole town has a great appreciation to allow dogs into all shops, restaurants and bars. The food and bar area is very modern...

Booked on line as we travelled up the Northumberland coast, probably no more than 30 minutes before we arrived. Gracious and friendly welcome - off to a very good start. Our room was excellent. It was well appointed, spacious with a very comfortable bed. Bathroom was excellent. Down to the excellent bar area, and I think we were the only...

The restaurant is linked in with the hotel bar so the first appearance is not overwhelming but this is made up by a wide choice menu and excellent food. This is topped by the 'can do' friendly approach of the staff. So all in all a very pleasant evening. About 15 minute walk from the centre but pleasant and helps...

We loved this hotel - as it is small it feels very cosy and inviting. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Breakfasts are freshly cooked and tasty. We had dinner one night and they fitted us in although we hadn't booked. Needless to say the meal was delicious and very good value.

Stayed Easter Sunday in to Monday at Nether Abbey. This was our first time away with our dog and didn't know what to expect holidaying with him. The hotel is in a great location, easy to walk to the beach/harbour whilst not being right in the centre with the traffic/hustle and bustle. We had a great 2 days at the...

Having stayed at the Nether Abbey on numerous occasions I have to say I have never been disappointed. Staff are always friendly and polite, rooms are very clean and comfortable and the food is delicious; plus, their selection of real ales are fantastic....:-) You have to try the mussels if you stay here as they are gorgeous (either as a...

We stayed as a family of 4 (kids age 15 & 12) over the weekend. The room was spacious and recently renovated overlooking the front of the hotel. The breakfast choice was varied and nice to see local produce away from the usual "Scottish" breakfast if you fancied a more healthy option. The breakfast waiting staff were particularly friendly and...

Restaurant review. We were "welcomed" with "Drink? It'll be half an hour to get food because the kitchens are busy". My response went unheard because the server was staring out of the window. My inclination was to leave then but we didn't, unfortunately. We chose the platter for two. Avoid. For £22 this is not a generous serving. It was...

Thank you very much for taking the time to review the Nether Abbey. On the night in question we were trying to run a wedding in our, recently refurbished, music room and suffering from the loss of the father of one of our chefs. We do not like to turn people away and in hindsight we should probably of said...

We had our first wee holiday with our golden retriever Archie. The staff made us feel very welcome and we had a great weekend. The rooms are a good size with huge comfy beds, and we were in room 7 on the top floor so had a great view of the sea. We had dinner both nights and the food...
