Couple nights break away. Lovely clean fresh room, lovely old building. Had food in the bar couldn't fault it especially for price. Breakfast was very slow in the morning but it was busy, and we were in no rush. Overall I'd stay again no question

I wanted to have a drink here as this was where the cast of Dad's Army stayed whilst filming. As mentioned the bar has no atmosphere, there was one young girl serving and kept wandering off, to do other work presumably. My pint was very good the wife's not, dirty pipes. Sadly the Wetherspoons (Red Lion) is better. Lovely old...

Lovely hotel in a prime position by the river. Lovely rooms. Restaurant lacked atmosphere although the food and service was good. Bar very cosy..Bar staff was very friendly. Breakfast was a different issue, calling it organised caos would be polite! Under staffed considering it was a bank holiday, table's were not cleared, hence people were kept waiting for a table....

This hotel has something to it that made me feel comfortable and secure. Talking to locals who also have some knowledge about Thetford hotels, they too find this one recommendable. Free parking is available. It's located near a small river where you will find a bar established on a boat with Portuguese management. At a walking distance to the city...

Popped in for lunch on a Saturday with friends, it was our 1st and last visit. Two things we chose off the menu they had ran out of. We were the only people in the bar at the time of ordering, it took around 30mins for the starters to arrive, mine was cold but I ate it. It then took...

This is supposed to be a three star hotel! I was so shocked on how abysmal this place was it was laughable. Arrived around 4pm, no one showed you to our room or offered to take luggage we eventually got to room no 22 the decoration was appalling paint peeling, windows not fitting in the frames, the windows themselves were...

I only stopped in for lunch while in Thetford. OKish pubby type place. No problem with that but the service. The most irritating attendant I have ever experienced. One rule these places should note is....No amount of cheery laughter and singing makes up for long delays in service. Food ok but almost left after waiting 30 minutes for our order....

Waited over 45 minutes for our food and it came out cold ! Scallops cold pasta cold steak warm! Not going again ! We were also late for our film too. Could definitely say I was not happy for my food to come out cold considering it took that long also when I asked for them to warm my pasta...

Today we decided to visit Thetford in Norfolk. During the visit we came across The Bell Inn. Our friends we were with stated they had visited before. The hotel from the outside lacked appeal and clearly needs a lick of paint. We entered and found a seat in the bar. The menu looked good and was reasonable in price. The...

We stayed at The Bell on Saturday 25th February. It's in a great location, clean and a nice place to stay. We didn't have food but we used the bar. We ordered 2 bottles of lager, we told the girl behind the bar that it was warm. She didn't apologise but said it was in the fridge but the fridge...
