As a local, friends and I decided to meet at the Bell for lunch. We placed our food order, took our drinks and waited and waited and waited, 45 minutes we waited for our food, which , as the food is freshly prepared is ok. Unfortunately, I requested no tomatoes (allergy) and added diane sauce to my steak, which I...

Stayed here last weekend whilst attending a race event at Snetterton. Location of the hotel was great both for the track and also right in the centre of town for the amenities. However the hotel itself wasn't great, my original double room looked onto a very scruffy car park, it had 1 coat hanger and very little storage for cloths,...

We hired a function room at the Bell Hotel for Sunday just gone. We would like to say the staff were absolutely fabulous, nothing was too much trouble. The staff reserved it for a couple of weeks until we decided on what we wanted to do. They even suggested other venues, obviously very confident that we would be back. We...

We stayed here many years ago when it was a Trust House when it was quite high end. It provided adequate accommodation for our purposes but generally, and the rooms in particular, seriously need some investment from Old English Inns, the owners. Even without great expenditure, general routine maintenance would help. Some instances of penny-pinching to save money. False economy....

I stayed at the Travelodge and popped over to the Bell last Wednesday for a beer and some food, driven by the Dad's Army connection. The Crayfish cocktail arrived immediately and tasted like it had been sitting in a chiller for some time. After a long wait I received my medium rare steak which was completely dry and had obviously...

We ate here as we were staying at the Travelodge nearby. I had a steak which was cooked to perfection and my husbands mixed grill was too. The restaurant was fairly empty and so didn't have much atmosphere. A little music might have helped with this. The waitress and bar staff were very friendly and helpful. The place looks as...

Ate here this week as I was staying at the Travelodge. I'm exploring the restaurants around the town. The food here was very tasty, I had seabass and scallops and bakewell tart. Was very impressed by the food at the price it was. The staff weren't fantastic but polite enough and the bar was ok. Being a woman on my...

Couple nights break away. Lovely clean fresh room, lovely old building. Had food in the bar couldn't fault it especially for price. Breakfast was very slow in the morning but it was busy, and we were in no rush. Overall I'd stay again no question
