Booked last minute on New Years Eve! Worst guest house we have ever stayed in! It smelt of fat, was dirty, unkempt. Wall paper was attached by masking tape and hanging off walls! Could hear the guy next door snoring the walls were so thin! Couldn't shower as too dirty! Breakfast was inedible as a watery poached egg floated on...

Cheap and cheerful and in a brilliant location, right in the heart of Kirkby Lonsdale! If you like luxury, then this is not the place for you, but if you want a friendly welcome and bargain accommodation and food, then this small venue is perfect.

We stayed here on New Year's Eve after finding it on Expedia. It is a very charming guest house and the owners could not be more accommodating - even arranging a parking space for us from one of their neighbours. If we had known they offered food we would have had dinner there as the breakfast we had was lovely....

My wife and I booked in here mid to late December 2016 for 1 night on New Year's Eve... We arrived just before 3pm on 31st December and were greeted with the owner showing us to an additional car parking space secured via a friend (cannot be guaranteed for everyone) but I guess this gives you flavour of how accommodating...

Stayed here for 1 night in between Christmas and New year. Breakfast was really good. Bedroom was average - single glazed so very noisy - lamp flickering on and off. Very basic but for the money paid can't grumble. Fine for a short stay and breakfast really quite good.

We stayed here because we just wanted something basic for one night. I wasn't expecting much and didn't have any real issue staying in what we called 'grandma's house' given the price we paid... The issue we had was the pub next door and the smoking area directly below our bedroom window with a lot of noise through till 3am....

Filthy Stinking hovel !!!! I really am lost for words to describe this so called guest house. God help anybody booking into it. You have been warned !! The stench of used cooking oil everywhere Filthy old dated furniture and carpets. We didn't even wash or shower and got out asap the next morning. Even refusing our included breakfast. The...

If you are expecting all the mod cons then don't stay here. If you are happy with basic, clean accommodation that does not cost the earth ...and may be in need of a little up dating (slight understatement), then this place will do you fine. We were lucky enough to get the family room up on the top floor. The...

It was starting to rain and we were walking the streets of Kirkby Lonsdale in search of somewhere to eat. We found a pub displaying a menu in their window but we'd hit them at a time they weren't doing food. Then we found the Copper Kettle restaurant in a narrow side road. Husband and wife team, Peter and Pam,...
