We stayed as a group, 27th - 29th Dec, booking many of the rooms. All our party commented on the high standards of the rooms and the great quality of the food. The Royal Hotel's central location puts you in the heart of the Kirkby Lonsdale. The staff that dealt with us were very professional & polite and sorted everything...

Never have I ever been spoken too by the manager of a hotel so rudely as this hotel. He was obviously under pressure this is no excuse to insult me in front of my wife . I will track the owner down and inform them of the unacceptable behaviour I experienced. VERY VERY RUDE MUTTERED COMMENTS UNDER HIS BREATH. 😔😔😔😔

We had previously had coffee at this hotel. That had been sufficiently good for us to book a table for four of us for lunch. We were shown to a table which was actually big enough for about eight people so we felt somewhat awkward sitting at one end of it. The second problem was that the chairs consisted of...

I was lucky enough to stay at this charming hotel (part of the James' group) whilst attending my son's wedding. Nothing is too much trouble for any member of the team although I suspect they may be a little short of their ideal staff rosta. This also has to be the best value venue in this delightful town. It is...

We stayed for one night on a cold November day after travelling around the beautiful Cumbrian fells and Yorkshire Dales. The hotel is very pleasantly furnished and decorated in a shabby chic/country manor style that is comfortable and inviting. Our room was charming and warm...in spite of the bitterly cold wind. Staff were friendly and helpful....nothing is too much trouble....

We stayed in room six which overlooks the little side street and a couple of shops. The room was nicely decorated and featured a wardrobe....set of drawers, a chair and a Samsung t.v. The bathroom was good with underfloor heating. We striggled working out how to get the shower on....but got there in the end. The bed was comfy kingsize...
