We called here rather desparetly on a Tuesday evening due to us not having anywhere to stay! the staff and management (i understand its recently under new management) were absolutely brilliant. Nothing was a problem for them, they were so friendly and really helped! they offered us a room for the two of us, and the two dogs. we were...

The place is locked up until 5pm which is rubbish when trying to check in before that. The staff were very friendly and the room was lovely except the horrible flooring which hurts your feet (I'm guessing is because of all the outdoor activities in the area)

We stayed here for one night this month for my husband's 30th Birthday on a visit to horse racing country and had a lovely time. The staff were relaxed but helpful and charming. We had our two little dogs with us who were very welcome and we stayed in the Miller's Club which is a little suite in a converted...

Very welcoming locals and dog friendly rooms which weren't the usual smelly second rate ones some places think we dog owners suit! Thought a little over priced considering the size of the room although good facilities/fridge/fan etc. Food wasn't as good as we had been hyped to believe and the cosy bar fire that was written in guide book as...

Stayed here for a weekend in July and was extremely impressed by the size and decoration of the room. Lots of little extras which make a huge difference such as fridge in the room, fresh milk for tea, fan in hot weather etc. The bed was extremely comfortable and breakfast and dinner were truly delicious. Would highly recommend!

Stayed here last summer and thought it was too expensive and over rated. The room was too small, over decorated and over furnished. The room was so small I had to climb over the bed to get past my (slim) wife every time I wanted to get to the bathroom. We were kept awake all from all the noises from...

My husband and I stayed one night at the Queen's Arms in their Farlows Room. What we particularly liked about the hotel was its cosy, welcoming feel - a traditional country inn. The bedroom was decorated with warm, country-style furnishings and the bed with its crisp white sheets was most comfortable and we slept well. This room is overlooking fields...

“We apparently had the "2nd best" which was quite small but massive en suite/shower room. The floor was quaintly wonky and wouldn't recommend two nights in that particular room as tv table and dresser couldn't hold wine bottle straight!!! Very cosy and dog allowed in room too.”
