Wow! We were so well looked after from the first minute we checked in to when we left. It is in a stunning location and you can see it from miles around. Blessed with wonderful weather last week we loved using the pool facilities, with the backdrop of one of the castle turrets and the mountains on the other side....

We stayed here on our way to Andalusia, the views are amazing and are 365 degrees but the hotel itself whilst having been created with character - it's not actually that old and isn't great quality considering the price. For children it was a bit difficult, we didn't realise it was a 'relais de silence' basically a quiet place...so we...

We made the mistake of booking only 1 night in this Parador. Views and location are spectacular. Our room is in a turret complete with 4 poster bed. Its fairy tale stuff; idyllic . Accommodation is very comfortable rather than luxurious and facilitates are limited; but what would you expect for a castle! Pool area is spectacular with stunning views...

This parador has amazing views of city and mountains from front and back. It is not close to sites so you must take a taxi to go in town. The facility is a moorish castle. The rooms are authentic. Television is in the room.

We stayed there last weekend in room 22 - beware, this room is sub-standard. We had booked and paid in advance for a double non-smoker and ended up with a twin/smoker. The hotel was full and room 22 did not have the customary terrace with table and chairs (only a service roof top - unguarded, with cables etc). Despite being...

We stayed here for one night in March as part of our Easter week travels through Andalucia. The staff were excellent and helpful. The rooms were large and clean with spectacular views. The dining room was large, medieval looking and pleasant. The breakfast was plentiful with lots of variety. Anyone traveling in this part of Spain should treat themselves to...

We stayed at the Parador de Jaen on 31/3/13 and it was amazing. Excellent staff, perfect, beatifully spotless accommodation and food. NO SMELLS at all. It was the first stop on our Andalucia Legacy ll route booked through Paradores of Spain The view from our room and the courtyard in front of the hotel was jaw droppingly awesome. Would recommend...

Even though its not a "REAL" castle, it it done in a way that my 8 year old thought that it was a real castle. The real castle is next door and would be quite uncomfortable, as it probably dates from 1,200ad or so. The Parador "castle" has tremendous views and really neat sitting areas and common areas. The staff...

In common with a few other reviewers, although there was a lovely view from my room, there was a really unpleasant smell from the bathroom. I had a balcony, though it wasn't very private as you can see the balconies belonging to the next rooms. The location on top of the hill overlooking Jaen is spectacular and the architecture, while...

My wife and I - together with two other couples - recently spent two nights in the Parador de Jaen. The position is probably unrivalled in the whole of Spain and the views from the Parador, which sits on a high ridge overlooking the city, were spectacular. However, all three of the bedrooms that we occupied - No. 7, 8...
