Even though the first impression when walking through the door was not that good, I was positively surprised when I came into the room. Everything was clean and looked very nice (see picture) and the bed was very comfortable. Then it's only a 2 min walk to the beach, that's really great and the breakfast was ok, too. Unfortunately you...

Friendly personnel, but the room (lodge part) was old with loads of dust. The bed was very old and small with a soft mattress and the springs were pushing in our backs. We only stayed one night and went to another B&B for the remaining nights. Location very good close to the beach, but we did not find the room...

I really enjoyed my stay in this hostel. I stayed for two nights here and it was a blast. The hostel is right next to the beach and has beautiful nature all around. Everything was nice and clean. The best part was the staff tho! Everyone was extremely sweet. Thank you!

Over night stay. Double en suite bedroom with tea and coffee making facilities. Beds were comfortable and clean. Self service breakfast was a good idea but for those who got to the table later, would have been greeted with the dirty dishes. Very noisy outside due to young people talking about their own travels whilst smoking, was the only thing wrong.

Not overly impressed with the attitude of the manager. Almost felt like I'd committed a crime by being a single traveller and booking a room rather than opting for the dorm. The room was comfortable enough, albeit somewhat dilapidated and small. Breakfast was fine. Way overpriced for what you got.

I did not expect too much for a hostel accommodation but I was very impressed. The welcome was personal and friendly and was available as we arrived. An Italian host was very engaging and helpful and took time to show us the facilities and make us welcome. The room was clean, bright and perfectly good value equipped with the basic...

Perfect for what we needed, clean, safe and very friendly staff. We forgot to bring towels and they provided them for us no problem. Our group had 3 rooms and no complaints. Lovely location with bars right across the road. The area had a great relaxed atmosphere and we wanted to stay longer

Stayed for one night in the Strandhill hostel. Booked online and paid approx 20€ a night per person. We had a private room towards the back. The room was small but spotlessly clean. Minimal furnishings but everything you would expect to find, enough sockets, bin, stool, plenty of hooks. Beds were comfortable and the linen was fresh. When we checked...

A group of 13 of us stayed here last weekend and we had a great time. There was some confusion with our booking but the guys were more than accommodating and pleasant to deal with. The rooms/dorms were spotless when we checked in. There is a real homely feel about the place and we were very impressed by the overall...

We had a great stay here, the staff were super friendly and welcoming. They recommend a nice place to eat, drink and massage the bed was comfortable but I think they were kids bunks as they were really low so you couldn't sit up in bed which made for a few drunken head bumps lol laid back environment
