Stayed here with some friends. Checked in and got a really warm welcome. Was told breakfast was until 10.30 usually but we could have it later if we wanted. Got a voucher for free coffee/tea and sweet treat as we booked through gleeson's own website. We redeemed these next day which was very tasty, room was basic but clean and... More

July 2014 we stayed at Gleeson's. Honestly the highlight of a very busy 8 day trip around beautiful Ireland tracing our family heritage. Mary & Eamonn welcomed us immediately and we could not ask for better place to stay! The food was OUTSTANDING and the room accommodations were perfect. Roscommon will stay forever etched in our hearts as capturing the... More

Nothing too flash about it, yet perfectly hospitable and friendly, mainly due to the casual laid-back but welcoming staff and the warm fuzzy feeling of the open fire place, abundantly supplied with BNM peat briquettes.

In town from New York City for a wedding we were welcomed to Gleeson's Townhouse as if we were family. The entire staff could not have been more accommodating throughout our stay, making sure that all of our needs were met and requests were immediately granted. We enjoyed sitting around the fire in the reception area with friends and taking... More

I stayed at gleesons for work and found it a lovely, warm experience. Everything about the place was homely and cozy! In a great location in the middle of Roscommon town. The staff couldn't do enough for us, particularly a lovely woman named Ann! Lovely food! Great, hard working staff and lovely location. One critique. The tiling around the bath... More

Nice hotel in the center of town. Very warm and hosptable staff willing to help you find your way around. Rooms are small but comfortable. NO ELEVATOR, so getting to the room for elderly with bags may be a problem. Parking is free and available behind the building. Eating facilities on premisis, but we availed ourselves of the pub next... More

My eighty year old father and I came to do some ancestry work as his grandfather came from Roscommon. We have had what can only be described as a wonderful, warm and delightful time. We were welcomed by friendly staff including Eamonn, the owner who carried our bags up. There is a great restaurant, lovely cafe and warm and welcoming... More
