Bellinter is a perfect romantic getaway, lovely old country house, very relaxed, good staff. Highly recommend for a weekend break. All of the rooms are nice, but try to stay in the main house for a bit more luxury. Lovely pool area and outdoor hot tub. The spa is good, but if could do with a good dusting! The restaurant... We had really high hopes for our trip to Bellinter House after hearing rave reviews from colleagues at work and seeing the reviews on Trip Advisor. First of all the positives, easy to find, very friendly and attentive staff and the food was pretty good too. That all said its obvious Bellinter House is going for the shabby chic look... More

Firstly, the staff were very friendly which is always a huge plus when staying anywhere. My friend and I stayed one night as part of a deal which was excellent value. The house and grounds are gorgeous and the food is superb. The spa and facilities were also excellent. I loved the little touch of tunnicks tea cakes in the... More

Stayed here with a deal through Living social. Loved every second of it. The staff were lovely and made us very welcome at every chance. We stayed in east wing and had a huge room with modern wardrobe and bathroom though no bath. The building is dated and probably needs a lick of paint but still has the country look... More

In the summer of 2013 I stayed with a group of 22 individuals at Bellinter House. It is the ideal centre for exploring the Boyne Valley and Co Westmeath. The Georgian house itself and the grounds in which it is set are lovely, and the bedrooms and extensive public rooms designed to be relaxing. It was always a pleasure to... More

Great spot for a quiet few days away. Its a lovely old house with some "different" decor going on. The food was good and the rooms were well kitted out with some top quality finishing touches. I think a few more staff would have helped as it seems to take a little longer to get some things cleaned like tables... More

I was very excited that I was going to treat my friend to a luxurious mid week overnight stay in Bellinter House. When we arrived we noticed that the grounds were not kept, weeds in the flowerbeds and the grass half cut and statues broken. When we walked upstairs entering the house everything just looked and felt dirty / shabby.... More

Had a really relaxing and enjoyable break to Bellinter at the end of June 2013. It was my fourth stay there so Bellinter must be doing something right! It is looking a bit shabby these days and could do with a bit of tender loving care but it is so relaxing, the food is yummy and the general ambience is... More

Starting with the positives, this is a proper retreat away from everything. A stunning building (from the outside) set in beautiful countryside. The staff and service were very good. The food is excellent. The spa was very pleasant. Once you step inside the building things become less impressive. Everything just looked and felt dirty / shabby. This house deserves more... More

Stayed here last weekend. Really fabulous setting, our room was fabulous and the spa treatment with Gillian was superb!!! The bar food was a fabulous selection and our meal in the Eden restaurant was special!!! The 2 lounge rooms though were very shabby and tatty, the cushions looked grubby and although table tops are cleaned regularly the legs of tables... More

Bellinter House selected in the top new Hotels in the world by the Conde Nast Traveller Hot List 2007. Quote from Conde Nast Traveller Hot List 2007 review: "Huge original fireplaces and antique mirrors ... mesh with original designer furniture and quirky lighting in the atmospheric Drawing Room.
