This is a hotel carvery serving lunches. We found the dining space in the self-service carvery to be a bit gloomy. That said, we found the food to be really excellent - very good choice, perfectly cooked, tasty, and good value. They also give half portions, which suited us

Would have to confess that I am a real fan of old, classic hotels. Indeed, there is often a trade-off. For example this venue has no lift. They did make a point to give me a room closest to least amount of stairs. The room and bath were fine with good heating. Had marvelous

I and a friend have both stayed at this hotel three times - I also took my sister and niece there and none of us have had any complaints - my sister had a very Victorian room and loved it - Ann and I now always ask for the same rooms as previously stayed in as they suit us both however my first stay there was a different room and that too was ok - breakfast is excellent and I found the staff very helpful, one even carried my case up stairs as I am disabled - staff I found really help was was receptionist called fidelma and the people who served breakfast - oh and breakfast was absolutely brilliant - would stay there again anytime - especially picked it originally as it has a pool and love the art deco atmosphere

That's what it was like when I went there, I can only speak as I find. I have no idea if any changes have been made.
