Hotel is fine but room was disappointing. Poor view, couldn't even open the window as it was opening onto the terrace. Room was so stuffy that I had to request a fan. Staff were very nice and apologetic. Pool is small but nice enough. Appears to be a busy hotel with lots of movement.

Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for taking the time to write this review. I agree that some rooms have a less delightful view than others. We are located in the heart of the town of Maynooth, within a 5 minute stroll there are some spectacular sights. I recommend Maynooth Castle and the College campus for some stunning architecture and historical...

Maynooth is a lovely little town worth exploring. Everything within walking distance. Its a great location especially if you want to explore Dublin without Dublin hotel prices. Very large room. Friendly staff.

Dear Fiona, I agree wholeheartedly that Maynooth is a delightful town plenty to see and do. Our hotel serves as an excellent base for exploring Dublin and indeed other trails along Ireland's Ancient East. We look forward to welcoming you back. Stayed at the Glenroyal on a business trip. Hotel has been partly refurbished, although my room was nothing special. Hotel has a newly added coffee shop which is a nice edition. Food is tasty. Breakfast could do with a wider choice. My package included evening meal which caused problems at checkout as it was charged separately. The receptionist was less...

Dear James, Shoda is a great addition to the hotel, we are delighted with it, and I'm glad you enjoyed your visit. Apologies about the confusion on check out with regard to your food bill, I'm unsure as to what exactly went wrong but I'll make sure to investigate and ensure a smoother service on your next visit. Warm Regards,...

We stayed here in August 2015 as a family, (myself, my partner and our 1 year old son) Reception was very friendly and welcoming. We chose a classic room and it was immaculate. The room was modern and spacious, very good value for money. We had a lovely view from our window and the room was cosy at night. A...

Warm welcome, even though arrived late. clean room and warm full Irish breakfast was good, in hindsight I think it might be slightly overpriced even for slate booking, but certainly recommend to stay given location.

All usual facilities, free parking, easy to deal with. A friendly welcome and good value service. Good decor and unobtrusive service made it an easy place to be in. We ran a little over our allotted time but they were understanding.

We were just late for the lunch and waited for the Bar menu which was highlighted in the bar as being available from 3 30. We sat for a while but had to approach the counter to get a menu. A very polite and helpful waiter took our order. The meals were ok by bar food standards.
