A group of us got together at the Sandhouse for our annual trip away. We had a great time. The hotel is beautiful, but still manages to have a cosy feel to it. Rooms are very large with amazing views. When the tide is in, It is so close to the sea. The staff were all so friendly. The food...

This hotel is right on Rossnowlagh beach. An area of unspoilt beauty. Afternoon tea is delicious and the scones are the best I've had. Recommend a visit. Great beach for surfing and views are fantastic.

My friends and I stayed at the Sandhouse and enjoyed every minute! This jewel is well worth the trip: beautiful views, genteel, relaxing spacious rooms, and fine dining. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, and make you feel at home. There is also a spa that is very good as well. I wish we had stayed longer!

Living less than an hour away from Rossnowlagh we are quite familiar with it as a stunning beach location perfect for a bracing walk. This was our first time to stay in the Sandhouse hotel despite our many visits to the beach over the years. The older lady on reception was very pleasant on our arrival (early but this was...

Looking out onto Donegal Bay,sandy beaches for miles. Well maintained hotel. Nothing too much trouble for staff. Superb restaurant with great views. Accommodation reasonable priced. Personal supervision by the proprietor. Good parking. If you are a surfer, it's paradise. Spa attached to hotel, prices reasonable. Watch nat nav instructions to find hotel, can be misleading.

We called to this hotel one Sunday recently. The weather was miserable and we just wanted something light to eat. To our surprise it was not possible to get sandwiches in the bar, not even a scone, just biscuits with our tea. We were told they don't do sandwiches on a Sunday, which is amazing in a hotel where the...

Room - We got a deluxe double room facing the sea, the room was very spacious, we had a nice area by the window to sit, relax and take in the view and the bed was extremely comfortable. Bathroom - Bathroom had all we would need, toilet, bath, shower, sink and shower accessories. The bathroom was a tad bit outdated...

We did not stay as residents but we did visit The Sandhouse 3 times during our stay in the area. We arrived in Rossnowlagh on Sunday afternoon September 6 and we had pre booked dinner in their restaurant. To be frank we were not expecting too much. We knew the hotel had been in serious trouble about 4 years ago...

There is no doubt the hotel's biggest asset is the stunning beach side location. This helped divert our attention from the very dated room. This hotel is in desperate need of an update. The dining area was to die for, perfect view to start the day off in the morning. Staff very friendly.
