My family of 4 stayed here 1 night after finishing driving around the Golden Circle. We chose to stay in Selfoss instead of going back to Reykjavik since we were driving along south coast the next AM to Hofn. Fosstun Apt Hotel is a few blocks south of the Ring Road. The units are simple but clean motel style units...

I slept in apartment for 3 people. The room was clean and warm with their floor heating, well equipped with a small kitchen with all basic stuff (including tea, sugar, coffee). Very comfortable beds and sofa. The bathroom was big and clean. In rooms is free Wi-Fi, TV, table, chairs, everything you may need. Stuff there are very friendly and...

While the outside of the hotel will WOW no one, the inside was terrific. Apartment large, clean, and warm. Owners went out of their way to accommodate us thru a weather incident.Best choice for Selfoss

We choose to stay one night and the four couples all agreed it was a good choice. Due to weather we had this day an additional night because the roads are closed. And our hosts where accommodating. The rooms were clean and warm with their floor heating.

It is situated close to the waterfall. I slept in this apartment in a shared room with three beds. The apartment has kitchen and shared bath. Room is spartan but clean. Good choice to tour the area on foot.

We rented an apartment for 3 people and stayed there for 2 nights. Its location is very convenient if you want to drive around Golden Circle. The room was good, there was also a small kitchen with all basic stuff you may need. There was also tea and instant coffee in the kitchen. The bathroom was big and clean, but,...

We had not planned to stay at the Fosstun but took a room here when one of our B&B's was suddenly cancelled. The room was small but clean and decent and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Kitchen for self-catering. The rate was very reasonable for Iceland. No complaints! We found the motel plain, functional and rather without...

We spent one night here while visiting the varied attractions of Southern Iceland. The apartment size was adequate and was clean & comfortable. We had a room away from the street, which was so quiet that we were able to sleep well on the comfortable bed. There is a problem with room ventilation as there is only one small window....

We liked this hotel so much that we stayed here twice! We were heading for the South and as we had to return back on the same way, we decided to stay another night there, in a different room. The rooms had lots of place, especially since they were apartments. We had our own kitchen! A bonus. WIFI worked quite...

“The room on the ground floor are bigger”

“Level two is less noisy. Also, I would suggest getting a room on the side or back of the hotel instead of the front next to the street.”
Mindy747, 7 Jun 2012 | Read review
“Rooms facing the grassy area in the back of the hotel have no street noise. Parking is close by in a small parking area with a concrete walkway to the room. The doors have exterior doors so rooms on the second floor are accessible by stairs outside - no elevator.”
