We spent a night in this modern hotel situated on the Ölfusá River, and were lucky enough to get a river view. Our room was large and bright with comfortable seating, a desk and a super-comfortable bed—once we pulled out the duvet. (As with every hotel in Iceland the duvets were overly hot.) The blackout curtains did a great job...

The room was very nice and larger than we expected. The window curtain did not block much light, which was a problem with only a few hours of darkness this time of year. The hot water in this hotel had more of a sulfur smell than anything other location we visited while in Iceland. The meals we had in the...

On our way to explore more of Iceland beyond Reykjavik, I stayed briefly at the Hotel Selfoss with my partner in the first week of July 2016. First of all, it was very easy to find as it was the first thing you see whilst crossing the bridge into Selfoss. In general the hotel and the lobby looked very clean...

We stayed here our last night in Iceland and wished we could have stayed another night. Our room was very comfortable with a large bathroom and a beautiful view of the river. Staff at the hotel were fabulous and the check in and check out went quickly and smoothly. We had dinner in the restaurant on site and the food...

We stayed in a ground floor room - pretty much the first right as you enter the restaurant. The staff were very helpful, drink and food reasonably priced, they do a happy hour and have a supermarket nearby. The hotel also has a spa which was really good - a steam room, warm hot tub, cold dip and sauna. They...

I made the reservation only hours before. When I arrived, they were over booked and were very apologetic about it. They set me up in an employee's home that was set up as a B&B and wouldn't accept any payment. They made a potentially disappointing experience into a highlight!

We stayed here because we were doing a glaciar walk. It's one of very few hotels nearby. The hotel itself is probably worth 3 stars - it was fine but in need of modernisation. That said it was clean and quiet. The staff were lovely. We decided to have an evening meal in the hotel restaurant because there wasn't really...

I stayed here for 3 nights with my children. I booked the hotel based on their website from photos which I'm assuming are pictures of upgrades rooms. We were given a room similar to a cheap motel - for approximately US $400/night. The furnishings were cheap and dated. The floor was not cleaned once during our stay - and we...

We drove here from the airport on our way East. It is in a good location as either as stop-over or indeed a base for a few days. The hotel is roomy and overlooks a river and bridge. Staff were very helpful. We ate in the restaurant and the food was also good. Breakfast was adequate. Overall a good stop-over.

Breakfast buffet and evening dinner were very good, Great happy hour prices (for Iceland). Pillows and beds need replacing, Far too soft and duvets are barely large enough to cover a person. Internet is intermittent in the rooms and most people needed to go to the lobby to connect,.
