Interesting place to stay. 12 km from thingvellir park. Room was clean, staff was friendly and helpful. Food is over priced which is to be expected. Good location. It snowed heavily on our way to the hotel but we drove a 4 wheel car and it made our lives super easy. Good bar at the hotel and very good views...

We stayed at 4 separate hotels on our short trip to Iceland and this came in third behind the Silica and the Ranga but ahead of the Radison Blue Saga. We dropped on good weather so the drive was fine in our little Suzuki car. The scenery was simply stunning driving up. The hotel had a very chilled feeling, our...

We as a group of 8 had a tour of Iceland in early February 2017. We booked in a few hotels around Iceland and then with a local tour guide took us around sightseeing. Stop over during the night in the booked hotel. Most of the hotels off great services like Ranga Hotel, Radisson Hotel in Reykjavik etc. However Ion...

First off, getting to the ION from the Reykavik airport is not an easy task. A cab is about 300 ISK and the roads were too icy from the storm for us to rent a car. I called the ION asking for suggestions as to the best, most efficient way to get to them and they could not have been...

The good: the staff is very helpful, the food is very good, the wifi is fast, the location is unique but the room is small and silly. The windows are the best thing about the room - they are huge and look out over a beautiful landscape BUT you have to close the drapes because people can see you in...

Let's start with the good, the hotel is in an absolutely amazing location. The views are beautiful, we saw the Northern Lights and the bar was just amazing to relax in and take in the scenery. The decor is modern and fun, but our toilet would continue to run if you didn't play around to get it to stop. I...

Only read previous reviews a day before arriving at this hotel and got quite worried, but they couldn't have been more wrong! Having stayed at numerous luxury hotels I found this hotel less stuffy and less pretentious. Maybe that makes it less luxurious (?), I don't know. Rooms are of avarage size, don't know what people are complaining about, and...

i loved my visit to iceland, but this is not the place to stay. first, very expensive for a very small room with a tiny bathroom. second, the worst restaurant service i have ever experiences i) incredibly expensive dinner for a menu with limited options, ii) we arrive at breakfast just before 10 and the staff is frantically clearing away...

For a hotel that markets and sells itself on design, the quality of the rooms is terrible. Particularly the bathroom. Sink, shower screen had clearly been changed in our room, but rather than being re-tiled, the holes had just been filled with chalk. This is something you might expect in a shabby seaside hotel, but not from something that is...
