We absolutely loved this place! From the moment we arrived and were given a tour of the facilities until we left after a delicious breakfast, we were enchanted. Our room overlooked the river and the hot tub next to the river. they also have a sauna and Kneipp baths for your feet (hot and cold water). Dinner was fabulous. You... More

a great place for you first or last night on the golden circle. Clean, pretty, good breakfast and very nice hot tubs. Try to get a room that over looks the river, it is much nicer. We really liked our stay.

This hotel is in a lovely location, my score reflects the room -- very average ( room3) next to the kitchen so staff & clients walking past the side window/door. There is a small pool which we didn't use but the hot tubs were a treat. There was a light out in the bathroom, which they knew about but it... More

This was an amazing find. I cannot say enough about the staff. Agnes checked us in and took us on a tour, showed us our room, the hot tubs and sauna. All are free to use until eleven. Our room was number 7 and was spectacular. The view was of the river and mountain. We checked in and went directly... More

We had high expectations for the Frost and Fire hotel and I can’t say that they were really met. The staff was really friendly and checking in was easy. But the standard rooms were incredible tiny and even the superior rooms were basically a normal size. Even though they are clean, the rooms are really basic, and were quite underwhelming.... More

We loved the food and the restaurant is good fun overlooking the river with steam jets venting from the banks. The breakfasts were the best we've had in Iceland and it was a laugh cooking our eggs in the geothermal oven outside the hotel. This is an excellent spot for getting to Geysir and Gullfoss which are the 2 highlights... More

Good location just outside Hveragerdi. Places were very clean, updated, staff was awesome, and the food was fantastic (can't emphasize enough). The hot tubs and springs on site were very cool and there is also a small hike you can go on where you can bathe in the hot springs nearby. Excellent experience and still just an hour from Rek.

You'll love this place! It was by far and away the best place we stayed in Iceland. My friend and I came for a fun stay and loved it. Staff is wonderful. They're so helpful in providing suggestions of places to visit- and just generally friendly. Views are gorgeous and breakfast is the best food we've had in Iceland by... More

Absolutely loved this place. In a lovely location by the river just out of town. Our room (7) overlooked a hot tub (constant 39 degrees due to it being right in the middle of the hot spring area), which we made use of straight away enjoying the surrounding scenery - very relaxing. room provided robes and rubber sandals for use... Based on the price i thought the rooms would be a little bigger and nicer. Really no storage. The rooms are clean and well appointed and I would stay again. You can take some nice walks from the hotel, the surroundings are beautiful and the staff is super. We ate all of our meals in the restaurant and had some... More
