This is really a nice hotel in the calm village of Reykjahlíð. The nature baths of Myvatn are nearby and the hotel staff is very helpful. They explained us that a visit to the nature baths depends on the weather conditions. The night we arrived, they told us it is better to go the day after since there was a...

Clean, big rooms. The Bathtub is a bit high but has excellent water pressure and heat. They have a cute curated gift shop/mini market for beverages in the lobby. They had hot chocolate and coffee in the rooms and little things like the boot scraper in the entrance were needed after wading around the geothermal muddy areas. The best part...

This area is quite remote and was the focus of a couple of wonderful days in the highlands of Iceland in March. The hotel itself is quite adequate for the area--comfortable beds, decent wifi and enough hot water (sometimes!) for a good shower. There is an associated restaurant in a separate building about 100 m from the front door of...

We stayed 2 nights in September, the room was good, clean and had everything you needed. The free breakfast is really good and we ate in the restaurant both nights and really enjoyed our meals. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

I stayed 3 nights in this hotel during my round trip through Iceland. The hotel is well located next to the lake Myvatn and offers you a basic stay. The rooms are ok, not very big, the only thing I struggled a bit was the shower, it takes 2-3 minutes to get warm water in the shower and there was...

A very modern and comfortable hotel near Lake Myvatn. I stayed here two nights while photographing in the area. Room was very clean, quiet, bed comfortable and spacious bathroom. Room not overly spacious but not crowded. Had free wifi with good connection. There was a tv and I believe at least one English speaking channel. The hotel has a restaurant...

Very clean, comfortable and friendly hotel. The staff folks go out of their way to be helpful, and the free breakfast is more than anyone could expect. The rooms are immaculate and comfortable. This isn't 5-star (no gym or spa), but it's a very solid 4.

We initially booked (over phone) Hotel Reykjalid, as for the Lake Side and positive reviews, though that turned closed, and we were redirected to Reynihlid; we believe we should have been told this when phoning........ The room was just good, though overpriced at 22000 ISK (€ 178) The small dinner we had was fine,as well as breakfast.

We checked in on 10/3/16. Your average roadside motel. Friendly staff. Clean room. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant. Great food. (As usual the restaurants at some of this hotels are far more superior in quality that the hotels themselves! Requested a “northern lights wake up call “and I got one at 3:00 am. Tried to wake up my...

Our rooms and beds were very comfort, friendly service and the best Chicken Caesar salad on the island! The area was spectacular with all the natural wonders. Plus the local hot springs were a bonus for us.
