On our way back from Provence, we had decided to give our son the experience of staying overnight in a real castle.....and it turned out to be the best way for all 3 of us to end our holiday ! We got exactly the experience we were looking for; a wonderfull place in the country side with a great atmosphere,...

A lovely place to stay en route, less than one hour's easy drive from the autoroute at Lyon. Pramenoux is an imposing and elegant building set in a jaw droppingly beautiful location. The gentle and generous owner Emmanuel showed us up a stone staircase to our room and flung open the windows so that we were almost IN the view....

This is an unbelievable place. The Chateau itself is spectacular and beautifully renovated, and the Emmanuel the host is utterly charming. We spent a wonderful 2 nights in a suite fit for a king enjoying amazing food, wonderful hospitality and breath-taking views. It’s hard to describe how truly unique and wonderful Chateau Pramenoux is, a great antidote to hotel living.

A dream come true to sleep in a tower of a castle like a princess on my honeymoon. Driving upto the castle on a sunny afternoon and to be told that it was our home and spend the day walking around it was amazing. I can`t speak highly enough about staying at this wonderful place - the dinner was so...

I picked this castle to celebrate my 30th birthday with my family. We were: my husband and our 8 months daughter, my parents and my sister with her 9 and 10 y.o. sons, and my friend with her husband. The place is just perfect for such family reunions; spacious bedrooms, nice living room with a fireplace, dining room with the...

What a perfect place to stay. My friend and I traveled here in late May and stayed for two nights. It is gorgeous driving up the road as you are approaching. Unfortunately, we didn't get to meet Emmanuel while we were there. But, he left us in great hands and the two of us were the ONLY guests in the...

WOW!!! We have been visiting Europe for 25 years..we have never been so blown away as we were when we drove up to Chateau de Pramenoux. One of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed in Europe. The real deal! The pictures do not do it justice! Our son is on his way now for his honeymoon. It has...

The kindness, warmth and style of Emanuel pervaded over our entire stay in his beautiful castle/chateau. I cannot recommend it highly enough. My wife and I were there for a couple of nights in the breathtaking "tower room" and joined Emanuel for dinner on one of the evenings. The meal was simple and nicely cooked but the highlight was being...

We have stayed at Chateau de Pramenoux more times than we can count -- we usually stay there once or twice a year, and have been coming there for at least eight years now. Each time it feels like a warm homecoming -- and what an amazing home it is! As other reviewers have mentioned, the hospitality of Emmanuel and...

The first thing Mr. Emmanuel said to us was to feel like we were in our own house. And it didn’t happen because it was so fantastic, so romantic that we couldn’t even believe in that day, in that place. It was so amazing! The room seems to belong to a princess: the bed, the fireplace, the view from the...
