You check in and they never ask you to pay upfront which I found strange but they said it's ok. Very trusting I guess. As soon as we checked in we never saw staff again, whether we needed towels or anything. The restaurant attached to the hotel closes at 10pm and after that you have to go in the back...

The best of this hotel is it's location. While having dinner or breakfast on the terrace you have a beautiful view over the lake. The hotel itself is ok, we had a room which was located above the kitchen. No lake view. There was noise coming from the kitchen ventilation system, also heat came from the wall and this without...

Yesterday we went to the restaurant for a meal. For the main course we had the most delicious trout I have ever tasted, and it was cooked to perfection. The waiter told us it was fished in the morning. It was very windy so we had a table indoors with a view over the lake. Overall a very nice lunch,...

The staff arent over friendly. The rooms are claustrophobic and in need of a freshening up. There is no aircon so in summer you suffocate. The swimming pool is ok but someone should clean the lounge chairs. The food in the restaurant is lousy. Frogs legs were served almost in a state of charcoal. A chicken dish was actually turkey...

Like a faulty towers sketch but not funny!! We booked had confirmation we again had a view if the lake however even though we had regularly visited the hotel just for the view as the hotel is nothing other than the view and cold freezing dirty pool.but we excitedly arrived to this extremely nasty french man shrugging his shoulders saying...

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights during our cycling holiday, very basic, in need of refurbishment, food was ok. Set in a beautiful area, cycled to the village of Bauduen for lunch, and the village of Ste Croix.

We slept one night in Les Cavalets The hotel is very basic and old. The rooms are clean but old. We payed over €100 for one room for two with dog, view on the lac and no breakfast. This was too expensive for what we got. The rooms need a total make-over quickly. Our bed linen was pink with little...

This hotel has possibly one of the loveliest views anywhere but it is very basic in all ways. Rooms- dated and in need of refurbishment. Patio door broken. Bitten in night. Grim. Food- average to poor with a mean breakfast with stale croissants. Everything and fries for supper plus a strange sandcastle of vegetable matter! YUK! Pool- neglected and full...

The view over the lake is very nice. Unfortunately, the views do not make up for the shortcomings in other aspects of the hotel; the rooms have little soundproofing, the beds are uncomfortably firm, the bathrooms lack ventilation and, at least in my particular room, have severe mildew problems. The service is friendly enough, but the breakfast is lackluster. Each...

The thing that makes this hotel attractive is the view of the lake. You can enjoy the view from your room or from the terrace, where you can breakfast, lunch and dine. Rooms are ordinary, and the food is only adequate, but service is pleasant and friendly. There is a sense of sophistication to the place, which it almost achieves.

“We chose a room looking out on the south side, thinking to save some money and that we'd have the sun but we didn't. When we arrived it showed that having a room with a view on the lake is definitely worth it as it is an amazing view.”
