This was our second visit to Le Colombier and from the warm greeting from Caroline and the immediate feeling of settling down somewhere comfortingly familiar, it was like a real homecoming. In a previous review I went into considerable detail re the immense benefits of staying here, so don't need to repeat my self here. Let me simply update that...

Hello, I stayed in the picturesque village of Venasque earlier this year. The location is lovely, the house and bedrooms are exceptionally charming and quaint but beyond all this, the welcome and attention that Caroline the owner gives to you on arrival and throughout your stay is second to none. I've stayed in many hotels and guesthouses around the globe...

Having randomly chosen Venasque as a base for our provence holiday, we set about looking for accommodation. After the excellent reviews for this place, it was an easy choice for us. From arrival this place exceeded all our expectations! The guest house is charming and beautiful both inside and out and has been lovingly restored with the owner Caroline adding...

Provence is one of the most beautiful regions of France and Venasque is one of our favourite villages, so it seemed logical to book a short break at Le Colombier. The house was easy to find and on arrival we were greeted by the charming and very friendly proprietor, Caroline Ruel. Right from the offset Caroline did her best to...

Le Colombier was our base for a week of cycling in Provence and I can't imagine finding anywhere better in the area. Caroline is a fantastic hostess and went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable and great fun. We had access to the garage to store our bikes and Caroline also advised on routes. Rooms are more...

A charming 18th century farmhouse situated at the foot of the village of Venasque. A convenient base from which to explore Provence. Caroline Ruel is the hostess with the mostest! The guest rooms, in fact the whole farmhouse is exquisitely decorated with her special touch. The WiFi booster gave us the best connection of our month in France. Breakfast was...

Caroline and Christophe exude warmth and charm, making this old, boutique hotel a very pleasant place to stay. Public places are quite comfortable, hosts are very attentive and the location offers an excellent base for exploring the region. The rooms are pleasant and there is an ambiance hard to match in modern facilities. We were part of a group that...

There is a saying which translates as “living like God in France”. Well, we think we found the place that is referred to in that saying and that’s Caroline’s B&B, aka Guesthouse Le Colombier. The place used to be a horse coach relay about 200 years ago, for horse carriages coming from Apt to whatever destination they went. Climbing the...
