Location wise the hotel is really good , it’s quite and about 20-25 mins to airport. Old and classic built hotel mostly newari style wood carvings. it does need some work only in bathrooms, I was happy to see the hotel started it’s refurb this year from the reception area since About 7 years I have been visiting Nepal and this hotel . The kitchen manager and staff are great in service. All of the credit goes to one of the manager Sasank who was very very quick in addressing the issues and needs! The price range is fixed according the hotels standard and comparing nearby hotels. It was around 4000 to 4500 npr which I think is very reasonable. Thank you Sasank for looking after and of course your knowledge about Ayurveda! I am now seeing Ayurvedic Dr in London. I will definitely go back. …
Amongst the options for a hotel of this nature few choices are available. Good location not 5star quality. The rooms are clean and airy and the ameneties reasonable. Had to ask for a replacement of the toilet seat as it looked quite unclean. The lack of power outlets and its location makes it quite inconvenient - nothing by the bedside. The internet is really erratic and making calls is almost an impossibility. Food is average. There are lots of places round and about that offer much better fare. (A conference ongoing will provide a buffet breakfast but otherwise it is a rather dismal a-la-carte. Face masks, sanitisers etc were more an option than te rule - which seems to be the general practise in Nepal.
Stayed for 2 weeks at the hotel to run a training programme. Hotel very empty due to Covid but team still did all that was needed to help ensure the stay and conference facilities meet my needs. Had a problem with rain in my room, moved same day with a choice of rooms offer. Good stay, good location and would without doubt use again in the future
Used the hotel and conference room to run a 2 week session. Hotel provided everything needed. I had a problem with the room during heavy rainstorm, the hotel offering a nicw alternative room. AC worked shower fine, food good, location excellent. It is not a 4 star hotel so pleasedont expect that standard but for the price paid it is a good value location and I plan to use it again in April 22
The hotel I used to stay for the General Manager is friendly. They have finally upgraded part of their rooms - new beds and pillows. The rooms are still tired and aged, needing a fresh renovations. Many new staff, service is thus not as friendly as we are strangers to them. Still a good location with many eateries around and amenties within walking distance.
Stayed here for 6 days with a group of friends and found the location was central for our needs and relatively quiet. The outside area by the pool was quiet and relaxing. Breakfast was okay but tended to be the same each day and it was a little off putting to see 2 large cockroaches scuttling round the dining room at breakfast on the first day. Our buffet lunch was excellent but we chose to eat out each evening as there was a good range of local cafes and restaurants. My first floor room was clean but dated and seemed quite dark. When I was in there, I had to have all the lights on. I was surprised that, given the price we were paying, tea and coffee was not supplied in the rooms. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times and that really sells a place for me. I'd happily stay here again, but next time, I'd not have breakfast here - as the other local options offered more variety.…
We used to stay at Greenwich because of its' good location. There are many eateries near the hotel within walking distance. Though it is aged and worn, and there are several new hotels in the area, and a good hotel (Summit) nearby, we decided to stay one more time because of our knowing the General Manager well. This time we were surprised pleasantly because of the little but important renovation the hotel has made - new beds, new mattresses, new pillows. Our team of 9 persons were all happy with the changes. But the hotel really needs a change over to stay competitive with the new hotels in the area, and the good quality Summit Hotel nearby. For the value it offers, still an option to consider.
I stayed in this hotel for my business trip. While this hotel is centrally located in Lalitpur and close to Patan Durbar Square, compared to new hotels, the hotel has basic beds - twin beds not very comfortable. Even the television set is old and it seems that the hotel room needs upgrade. Staff members, however, are growing and helpful. The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool and a garden. The hotel offers buffet breakfast and it's ok. There are several restaurants near the hotel if you like to enjoy music and foods and go for an evening walk to Patan Durbar Square.
One of corporate deal that my office has with this hotel, but its a very average hotel compare to it price (seems high). all rooms are twin bed and not that comfortable at all. best part of the is its swimming pool areas. Breakfast is okay type, not having much options.
I stayed on and off in this hotel during my 15 days stay in Nepal. Hotel location is nice quite part of area but good food options and convenient stores are on walking distance.I stayed in different rooms, but remember three rooms, 231 is a good room but at road side so bit noisy, 132 was bad on check in TV and AC not working so moved to 134 which was better. some rooms are with flat screen TV but not all rooms. Better if hotel put electric kettle in rooms. No lift so if u have knee problem get room on 1st floor Breakfast is OK not much options. Staff is excellent friendly and quick to help you. Over all hotel is average and over priced.
