From airport pick up to check out, all went well. Good location, few steps to squares but peaceful in hotel area. Room size is big enough for two and two big luggages. Room kept clean, nice touch in details such as laundry bag, amenities. Good job in renovating traditional building, tasteful decoration. Healthy breakfast with french press coffee. Staffs are... We stayed at Swotha 5 nights, with my son (5) and my dad (70), it was really a great stay. The staff is so friendly, they just want to make you feel at home, and in deed you feel at home (or better!). This small hotel is hiding in a quiet alley just behind Patan Durbar Square. It's comfortable and... More

This is the second time I've stayed at Traditional Homes Swotha - for a week each time - and, apart from the mouthful of a name, I can't fault it. The rooms are stylish and simple yet have retained the lovely Newar atmosphere and the authenticity of a traditional brick and timber building. Comfortable beds, free wifi and proper hot... More

I felt very very good in this hotel, the staff is extreemly friendly and helpful. It's a small hotel, so the few people working there are multitasking, caring, it all feels very personal and you feel that you're in "good hands"! The rooms are very beautiful, very tasteful style, simple but authentic, clean. The breakfast is great. The location is... More

I'm not really sure why people think Patan is far from Kathmandu- it isn't. 15 minutes in a truly interesting taxi ride for about 5$ and you are in the thick of the dust, hustle and bustle of the tourist scene if that's your thing. This lovely little place puts you square in the middle of an old city square... More

Reduce your search and look no further for your stay in Patan. This hotel is as good as it gets if you demand perfection. The rooms are excellent with comfort, amenities and service to go with it. Breakfast and WiFi are included with excellent meals served throughout the day. Also, you’re only steps away from the famous Patan Durbar Square,... More

Really enjoyed staying at this authentic traditional home. The beautiful room was spacious and warm. The food was delicious and the unobtrusive care lavished by the owner and his family was second to none. Despite being situated at the centre of Lalitpur, the peace and quiet here is a pleasant surprise and it was delightful to awake in the morning... More

Lalitpur means City of Fine Arts. And, places like Swotha Traditional Homes make this saying true. Swotha homes is a finely renovated 19th century building with half a dozen of rooms only. But what makes it different than most of the accommodations in town is - it's wide spacious rooms, homely atmosphere, delicious food of its cafe and very friendly... More

We spent five nights at Traditional Homes Swotha, using Patan as a base to explore the surrounding area. The location is great - just a few steps to Durbar Square and the Golden Temple, which we visited at 5:30 a.m. when it's full of local people starting their day. The inn is elegant in its simplicity and the staff is... More

We arrived late at night during a black out period, so finding this hotel was a small challenge for our driver, but nothing was a problem for him or the staff member who greeted us in the dark and helped our family of five to the top of the hotel. Hot water bottles were brought and we had a great... More
