It's a pub in an old building. If you want Premier Inn style rooms or plush then this is probably not a place where you should stay. However, I will happily go back. We had the twin room and OK, so the wash basin is in the bedroom rather than in the shower area, but the beds were clean and...

We stayed here in a room as a family of three. Tom was there to greet us and nothing was to much trouble for him. The night we stayed it was quiz night and the pub was full of characters. We took our dog along as well which there was no extra charge. You can also take your dog in...

Stayed one night and throughly enjoyed it. We were made to feel very welcome and unusually for a local pub full of locals we didnt feel we were intruding! The place was busy when we arrived but the landlord took time to see to us and anticipated our needs. A mention here for the barman as well; he was very...

2 colleagues (females in their early 20's) stayed in the twin room after working in the local area. We arrived late and were up early and stayed in an extremely clean room, with comfy beds and all the facilities we'd need. The breakfast was amazing and nothing was too much trouble! I've raved about this place to all my friends!!...

Two of us arrived late after a local trade show, after ringing ahead Tom had prepared home made pizza & chips which we washed down with a few pints of Wensleydale, good grub plus comfy bed and a superb full English in the morning, will definitely return.

Just had a two night stay here and couldn't have picked a better place. Tom the landlord is very helpful and friendly as are the locals who use the place. The food is very good and the breakfast a real gut buster. This place is a gem and hopefully we will stay here again the next time we visit the...

I'm reviewing this as a pub, not as accommodation (which we didn't try). This is a friendly pub a few miles outside Leyburn in the beautiful village of Bellerby. The ales were good: hand pumps with a couple from the local Wensleydale brewery and one from another small Yorkshire brewery when I visited. Simple decor, popular with locals, friendly atmosphere...

Given the date that this review was posted (Sat 14th) and the reference to how busy the pub was I can only work on the principle that the 'reviewer' visited the premises on Friday 13th. On that evening I was working exclusively in the Kitchen and had little or no interaction with any customers 'front of house'. We are a...

As soon as we parked up Tom, the landlord, came out to welcome us. We were shown to our room which had a lovely king size bed. Tom's pub, the Cross Keys, is a fantastic establishment and was buzzing with atmosphere created by the "locals". We arrived on a Friday commonly known as "Pie Night" and wow what a pie...
