We stayed here with our family because there really wasn't much other to choose from near the canyon. This hotel is outside of the national canyon limits, so you must drive over to the rim. Inside the Canyon limits there is an old lodge, right on the side of the canyon itself, which has more character, but it is pricey....

I stayed here in February. This hotel is located on the South Rim, beautiful in the snow! The staff was excellent & very friendly. A really good breakfast is included. The mattress in our room was a bit soft for my taste, maybe the mattresses need some updating.

For the price, it was a good value. You won't find cheap near the Grand Canyon, but it wasn't overpriced here. The room was quite comfortable, though the bed was a bit too soft. Decent breakfast included. It has a heated indoor pool and jacuzzi. Two miles from the south gate.

This is the best holiday inn I've ever stayed at and it's all because of the breakfast! What a surprise. We were expecting the normal continental breakfast but this was much better. There were a bunch of options and the food was fresh. It was really crowded every day but that's because it was so good. Rooms were nice and...

We arrived to a hotel car park that had not had a good snow clearance and was pretty dicey walking across the car park to the hotel then to be greeted by a receptionist with a large attitude problem,We were informed that if you are a priority club gold member or above you would receive an upgrade to a suit...

My buddy and I attended a conference in Anaheim and we decided last minute to extend our travel and drive out to see the Grand Canyon. We drove all day into town not having any hotels booked in advance. We figure since it was "off peak" we shouldn't have any problem finding a place to stay, and we didn't. We...

Holiday Inn Express is like my company's compensation policy. The goal is to be average. The room is OK. The breakfast is OK, although at this location the breakfast was not as good as one usually gets at a HIE. Things are clean. Its secure. The plumbing works. The heat works. The pool isn't very good. The rate should be...

Great hotel close to the south rim,a little overpriced because of the location, staff very friendly and helpful, good breakfast and facilities, and most importantly a nice warm room for when you return from the canyon! It was snowy and -10 when we where there so it was much needed.

Nothing special - just a Holiday Inn Express (and an older one at that!), does everything well and nothing exceptionally. It's within short walking distance to all the places in Tusayan, so a very convenient base to explore the Grand Canyon. It is a bit of a shock to pay more than US$200 for a Holiday Inn Express though. I...

Not sure if it was the actual standard of the express accommodation model, but the cafe style breakfast format wasn't what I was looking for. Normally, I like to grab a coffee and go, so this would have been ideal. But with a teenager in tow, a sit-down breakfast was required. Room was comfortable and warm. It is winter here,...
